2% divided by 100% (2% / 100%)

the % signs cancel out because they are found on both the demoninator and the numerator, so you get:

2 divided by 100 (2 / 100)

which equals 0.02, not 2%, not 0.02%

It seems most people have been taking drugs and not maths lesson on this one !
IF you divide .2% by 100 the result is .002%
All you do is move the 2 twice to the right for the 2 noughts in the 100
If it was divide by 1000, then you woyld move your 2 to th right by three noughts
IF you REALLY want to divide the .2% by a 100%, you cant, this isnt allowed.

It is 2%. There are a lot of pitfalls here so we'll carefully go through this and make sure this answer does not fall into one of them. A percent is a fraction out of 100, So this is (2/100)/(100/100). As far as I know 100/100 is 1, so we get 2/100, or 2%.

The word percent literally means per 100

So the question is:

(2 / 100) / (100/100)

This simplifies to simply 2 / 100

So .02
