Whenever the abortion debate comes up, people always go back to the same old question, "When does life begin?"

This is not a scientific question. This is a question that was invented by the pro-abortion activists to divert attention away from the fact that abortion is still murder.

I'm an athiest. I'm only looking at this scientifically...

The human sperm cells are alive. They are sex cells that contain half of the genetic code needed to make up our 46 chromosones.

Ova cells are likewise alive. They contain the other half of the genetic code.

When a sperm cell enters an ova a new cell is made. This cell is too alive and it is called a zygote. The zygote has all 46 chromosones in tact (half coming from the father, half from the mother). You now have a human being. 46 chromosones = human.

When did life begin? WHEN DID IT EVER END? The father is alive, the mother is alive, the sperm are alive, the ova is alive, the zygote is alive...EVERTHING IS ALIVE!!!

explain this statement "compounds have properties that are always the same but mixtures have variable properties" (no offense about the "geek" term)

i was asked to find the formula for the circumfrance of a circle on a sphere. This formula's varibles can only be the radius of the sphere and the radius of the circle on the sphere (however this radius has to be the distance on the sphere i.e. the surface distance.) Please do not post any answers useing pie because that is not part of the formula

What I mean is, why is North America always on the far left (west) and Asia on the far right (east)? I know it's due to the prime meridian (which is just an imaginary line), but WHO and more importantly, WHY was it decided that a round planet should be broken up in that particular way? Was it done way back when the Earth was supposedly flat and that way of making maps just continued to be passed down?

And why are we (in North America) called Westerners, when in reality, there is no real west? If you want to get technical, Asia is to the west of us just as much as we are to the west of them since the Earth is round.

Is it all done just to make things simpler? Because to me, it kind of just complicates things.

What do you do when a probability density function's area under the curve doesn't equal 1? The question given is f(x)=1-(x/30) from [0,30] and zero elsewhere. When I find the area, it is 15 units, which obviously doesn't equal 1. My teacher said to multiply by the reciprocal, but I don't understand that either.
