The question is:

Write the equation of the parabola shown "below" in f(x)=a(x-h)^2+k and in the form f(x)=ax^2+bx+c.

You may assume the leading coefficient is 1.

Now "below" the paper it shows the TI-83 graph screen "window" set to:

Xmin= -8
Xmax= 8
Xscl=1
Ymin= -8
Ymax= 8
Yscl= 1
Xres= 1

How am I supposs to come up with two equations...with so little information? Please help!!!

Fuses and their purposes?

A fuse melts if the current in a circuit becomes too high, breaking the circuit. However, what I do not understand is the actual purpose of the fuse. What would happen if there was no fuse and the current got too high, what risk is there that the fuse decreases? Also, when the fuse melts, does that mean the wire melts also, and if it does, do you simply replace it with another wire? Please explain well

I'm working on a problem where I would like to weight telephone respondents based on the number of phone and the number of adults in the home. Suppose I start with a weight of 1 what would my final weight be? Is it w=(Household size)/(# of Phones) or is it w=(# of Phones)/(Household size)?

Can I get a job in healthcare if I have an arrest record?

I'm a college student studying to work in an allied health field. About a year ago, I was arrested for public lewdness, a class A misdemeanor. I was put on probation and given deferred adjudication. I finished the terms, and was told that I would not receive a conviction on my record, just a record of the arrest. I do not have to register with the sex offender registry. (It was a wrong place at the wrong time kinda deal), anyway, will this prevent me from getting a job in the field I'm studying for?

if the universe is expanding into more space...what is that "space" and how did that get there????

surely there cant be an end to things expanding, so in theory the so called "space" that the universe is expanding into...must be expanding into something else...so what is exactly is everything expanding into????

Quadratic fomula. Right or Wrong?

The problem: 5x^2+3x+1=0

My answer: [-3(+-)(sqr)-11]/10
My question is since negitive 11 is squared is the answer: Not a real number? Because there is no number that will square negitive 11.
