I'm from Florida, and I've lived in all different parts of the state. I've also lived in Boston, and believe me the heat is just as bad up there in the summer. The problem is, it just lasts longer in Florida. At least everywhere you go there's central air, unlike the northeast. Try living on the east coast near the ocean and you will have a breeze year round, it's not nearly as stuffy as the middle of the west coast.

Not too hot, actually. I grew up in north central Florida myself, and I was born in Illinois (so my Yankee blood hasn't been totally diluted). There are stretches of summer when, yes, triple-degree heat is not uncommon, but like anywhere else if you're smart enough to use sunscreen and seek shade as much as possible, you'll be just fine!

Florida is not too hot, it's nice. I live in South Beach and the weather is 70-90 year round with little rain.

I came here from western Virginia and it took a year to get used to the heat. Now (14 years later) I freeze if it gets below 60 and can't imagine living anywhere else!

My description of FL is: Too hot and too flat.

Being from New England, FL is for a week's visit and no more, thank you very much.

Also, the restaurants are just plain awful.

It's okay but personally, I hate humidity. I like dry heat.

Hot is OK, it's the humidity that is miserable.
