I am doing PJAS. I need to research yeast. Problem is, none of all of the books in the science room have anything about yeast. I need to know how exactly it reproduces, what (natrual) conditions are the most favorable for yeast to flourish, and what sugar it reacts the best to (in making it grow.)

All and (most) any answers are appreciated.

I like to help students out with their homework, especially math, and I like to show details on how to solve it, not just give the answer. I wonder if I am wasting my time, though. So, students, can you please tell me honestly, when you come here with your math questions, do you want just an answer or do you want to see how the problem is solved?

Looking for HONEST answers here -- thanks!

If space were curved and gravity acted on objects like so then faster objects affected the same by gravity as slower objects...right?
Like two baseballs of equal mass are thrown but one travels at a faster velocity the one with the +in velocity will not fall as fast.. Why is this, is this true in a vaccum with no friction? I mean if gravity works because large masses curve space then shouldn't speed be irrelevant?
Im not very familiar to M-phase so please do not mention it or string theory or parallel dimensions.

This is for my Biochemistry of Macromolecules Lab.....
For determining enzyme concentration (umole/min) for M1, P1, P2, and S2 using the fact that 9OD=1 umole, does these calculations seem reasonable.
The OD's are: M1=.888, P1=.352, P2=.473, and S2= .034
I divided the OD's by nine to yield the umole units and then multiplied by the dilution factor 50 (20:1000) and .020 ml (amount of enzyme used)
To calculate the total units I multiplied the enzyme units by the volume in ml's from the protein assay from the previous week (it is total volume of the M1-S2).
To calculate the specific activity I divided the enzyme concentration by the protein concentration.
To calculate the purification factor, I divided the final specific activity by the initial specific activity and for the % yield of protein and enzyme I simply divided the final total units by the initial total units and multiplied by 100.......
HAS ANYONE DONE THIS BEFORE.....DOES THE CALCULATIONS SOUND RIGHT?????
