According to evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry, of the London School of Economics, in one thousand years humanity will split in two: a genetic upper class and a dim-witted underclass. The human race would peak in the year 3000, before a decline due to dependence on technology. People would become choosier about their sexual partners, causing humanity to divide into sub-species. The descendants of the genetic upper class would be tall, slim, healthy, attractive, intelligent, and creative and a far cry from the "underclass" humans who would have evolved into dim-witted, ugly, squat goblin-like creatures.

I pick those two because they seem to have more of a boom(lower frequency travels further right?). Personal experiences are good. I'm not doing anything stupid. This is for an essay I'm doing.

instant cold packs used to treat athletic injuries contain solid NH4NO3, and a pouch of water. When the pack is squeezed, the pouch breaks and the solid dissolves, lowering the temperature because of the endothermic reaction:

NH4NO3 (s) + H2O (l) -> NH4NO3 (aq)
DeltaH= +25.7 kj

What is the final temperature in a squeezed cold pack that contains 50 g of NH4NO3 dissolved in 125 mL of water? Assume the specific heat is 4.18 j/gc for the solution, an initial temperature of 25C and no heat transfer between the cold pack and the environment?

Ok, possibly it's an obvious question, but I don't care. I don't get it: Looking at South Korea, and it's covered with lights. North Korea is virtually all black. Wouldn't there be lights for industry, factories, small towns, cities, etc, in North Korea?

"The enthalpy of water vapour in air can be taken to be equal to the enthalpy of saturated vapour at the same temperature",says my professor.
So enthalpy is a function of temperature alone....
An adiabatic process doesnt neccesarily mean that it is isothermal.....
so unless the temperature of the air is'nt constant, how can it's enthalpy be constant?

With decaying ice-flows, has the prospect of open polar sea routes between the two great oceans now become viable. We have the technology. Vast northern terratories can be settled and developed. Secure northern routes offer a safer direct link reducing sea journeys. Has Canada, USA and Russia considered a joint-venture operation?
