There is a wedge with mass m2 with angle theta, and another mass m1 on the slope of the wedge. There is a force F being exerted on the wedge from the flat side. Find an expression for the magnitude of the horizontal force F in the figure for which m1 does not slip either up or down along the wedge. All surfaces are frictionless.

Tartaric acid has an empirical formula of C2H3O3. If 1 mole of tartaric acid contains 3.61x10(24) oxygen atoms, what is the molecular formula of tartaric acid?

I know I have to start by finding the molar mass, but how can I do that by knowing just the oxygen atoms?

The answer is C4H6O6, PLEASE tell me how to get there?

Each ball has a set mass of 0.46 kg. A green ball is traveling at 11.7 m/s and strikes a blue ball which is at rest. Assume that the balls slide frictionless on the surface and all collisions are head on. Find the final speed of the BLUE ball in each of the following situations (in units of m/s):

1. The green ball stops moving after it strikes the blue ball.

2. The green ball continues moving after the collision at 2.9 m/s in the same direction.

3. The green ball continues moving after the collision at 0.2 n/s in the same direction.
