You could talk about any scientific or technological topics of the future 150 years.

(ps. The Royal Society is/was the independent scientific academy of the UK)
I know what I'd like to talk about. I'm interested in what others might think.

The moment the ball leaves the pitcher's hand is when the ball is at its max velocity, right? After that it is deccelerating all the way to the plate. I thought it was accelerating to the plate because the ball was at zero velocity in the pitcher's hand and when it's in flight, it has greater velocity than when it left the pitcher's hand, but I think that's wrong.

-looks kind of like a sand dollar but is rubbery and soft like a snail
-looks like an oval with an indentation at top. has a worm like projection(tail?) about 4 cm long.
-almost flat
-entire object is about 8 cm in diameter
-the top side is gray with bumps
-the underside is a deep purple color and has ridges radiating out from a central point like the underside of a mushroom
-was found in wet sand at the beach during low tide in carlsbad.

the pic i use is 16f873a and i'm doing a 3-phase inverter which is controlled by 3-phase pwm. 2 of the pwm can be produced by the ccp pins. i want to know how to write the code to generate continuous pwm pulse train which is same frequency and duty cycle with the other 2.
thanks a lot

Isn't the ball accelerating from the mound to the plate? If so, is the speed displayed by the radar gun an average between the plate and the mound? Or, is this the maximum velocity and the ball is actually decelerating somewhere between the mound and the plate?

Given that[C2H5OH(l) + 3O2(g) = 2CO2(g) + 3H2O(g); delta-H of reaction = -1234 kJ] and [CH3OCH3(l) + 3O2(g) = 2CO2(g) + 3H2O(g); delta-H of reaction = -1328 kJ]???

Please show steps to solving this, thanks!!!!

A piece of lead with a mass 121.6 g was heated by an electrical coil. From the resistance of the coil, the current and the time current flowed, it was calculated that 235 J (Joules) of heat was added to the lead. The temperature of the lead rose from 20.4 degrees Celsius to 35.5 degrees Celsius. What is the specific heat of the lead?

when 10.0 mL oof a 1.00 M AgNO3 solution is added to 10.0 mL of 1.00 M NaCl solution at 25C is added to a calorimeter, the temperature raises to 32.6C. If the specific heat of the mixture is 4.18J/gC and the density is 1.00 g/mL, what is the Specific Heat for the reation....

What I did:
I used Mass x specific heat x temperature change
I took 20.00g x 4.18 X 7.4=618.64
since qrxn=-qcal, it should be -618.64J,
or -.61864 kJ

first of all, did I calculate the mass correctly, and secondly, did I do the problem right?
