Hi, i am taking a course in geophysics nowdays and the Prof. asked us to write a report about the role of Applied Geophysics in ......... (he didint determine .. he said we can choose any field we like) .. i am really puzzled .. can you suggest a subject please .. which can be found in many refrences !!!

the other question is that when we explore for petroluem what are the aim of doing seismic reflection method .. we can get a lot of information but what are the most important ?

I heard that nothing could practically travel at the speed same as light. But it is theoritically proved that even if someone/something could actually travel that fast, Time wouldn't have any effect on it/him.

Interestingly, if someone travels at more speed than light, Time would go backwards for him. So the speed of light is a constant speed, a zero point, and related to time.

My question is, is all this true? or partly true? Anyone shed some light on it if know about it?

Upgrading my shop by buying a cnc mill so I can produce in house. However, I want to be able to mill steel, stainless, titanium and aluminum. The steel and titanium I know are lower rmp speeds for milling due to hardness. What is the minimum spindle rpm allowable so that I can buy a mill that will be capable of milling all of the above listed material?

Five dogs and their five owners wish to cross a river under the following constraints:

The available boat can carry no more than 3 occupants

All the owners and one of the dogs can drive the boat
