How many meters above the ground would a person ( 182 lb ) have to climb to gain 3 kilojoules ( 3000 joules ) of potential energy. We usually measure our weight ( W = mg ) in pounds. For conversions, you may need to know that 1 pound is equal to 4.448 Newtons.

ok, i asked something similar earlier...and people answered that to find your velocity you do d/t which is fine, but in this case i'm not throwins straight and theres a bunch more involved so....

Heres the deal: I have:

Dx= 5.45m
t=1.97s
Vx = 2.76 m/s
Vf= 0 m/s
a=g

Now...how do I find either V or Vy to get the missing side and calculate how fast i throw in mph?

I honestly can't figure this out...please help

I have a bonus problem for calc2:

"Show that the medians (ie side bisectors) of a triangle intersect at the centroid of the triangle (geometric center)"

Im kinda confused about the question. You can find the medians easily...But in what direction do you extend them so they all interesect? You can make any 3 points anywhere interesect at the centroid if it is coming from a side. Im really confused.

Anyway, if someone could explain the problem a little better and then offer some TIPS that would be great.
