Teleportation on the macro-scale is science fiction. However, something like it occurs on the quantum scale so quantum mechanics would be the most relevant area of science. It is because of quantum tunneling that we are here. This peculiar behaviour is what permits fusion to occur in the Sun's core at only 15 million Kelvin.
