Over the years, I have forgotten the difference between "rewriting an equation in standard form" and "rewriting an equation in standard form with integer coefficients".

I am currently try to rewrite the equation y = -3/4x - 1/2 in standard form with integer coefficients.

They are on an old plate (about a year or a little older) and contain a plasmid with kanamycin resistance. They don't seem to want to grow in LB or when spread on a fresh kan plate.
