A guy walks into a store called 7/11. He selects 4 different items and takes them to the cashier to pay for them. The cashier checks them and asks for $7.11. The guy says thats unusual that the total is the same as the store name. He checks his reciept and discovers that the cashier has multiplied the items instead of adding them, he shows this to the cashier but the cashier says it does not make any difference as the total is still $7.11. What were the 4 prices?

Yeah, so they come in a few sizes. They're all pretty small, but I have arachnophobia so I'm not going to go researching spiders to find out about this one. But it's brown, and it's very spherical behind its head. It's got some strange white pattern which looks very geometrically even, but it's too small for me to see what shape it is, exactly. Anyway, someone lemme know some more info about it, cuz there's a whole bunch of them.

Seems like some web sites and books say that interphase occurs in Mitosis. However, several web sites online leave the interphase step out..

I know meiosis has the interphase step.

So, does the Interphase step occur in Mitosis ? Yes or no?

In Michigan (where our state tree is the contruction cone) the standard procedure for merging during a lane closure is to get over as soon as possible, but they are thinking of changing it so people fill up both lanes and then cars take turns at where the merger happens. Which one is better?

If we go on constructing the pattern of numbers above, will each row contain atleast 1 product of two odd prime numbers? If the answer to this can be proven to be yes, then would this prove also Goldbach’s conjecture considering the fact that the sum of any two numbers composing a product in a row adds up to twice the square root of the perfect square contained in that row, and that all even numbers greater then 4 are accounted for in the matrix?

For example, in the row that contains the perfect square 2*2, we have 3+1 = 4, with 3 and 1 odd prime numbers. In the row containing the perfect square 3*3 we have 5+1 = 6, with 5 and 1 odd prime numbers…etc.

Might this be related to Goldbach’s conjecture?

I am completely stumped by this assignment. If you could lend any help I would appreciate it...even a website would be nice!

Here is the assignment:

In the following chart, describe the Transformation: give the domain and range of the translated function. Let f(x) be a simple graph that illustrates the transformations easily and sketch the pre-image and the image for each.

FUNCTION.............CHANGE IN GRAPH.......DOMAIN.......RANGE
1. f(x)
2. g(x)=f(x-c)
3. r(x)=f(x+c)
4. j(x)=f(kx), k>1
5. m(x)=f(kx), 0 6. n(x)=k[f(x)], k<0
7. u(x)=k[f(x)], k>1
8. h(x)=k[f(x)], 0 9. p(x)=f(x)+c
10. o(x)=f(x)-c
11. Q(x)= I f(x) I
12. v(x)=f(-x)
13. s(x)=f(IxI)
