Where I live in Northern Ontario, Canada there is a huge flock of crows that nest in a big colony starting in the spring and lasting all summer long, then they break up in winter. I have looked up information but there is no mention of this behaviour, and no they are not rooks they are Common Crows and they all nest in one spot near where I live and they fly out in the morning and back at night. I am just wondering if anyone has seen this before and if you can direct me to more information about this behaviour..

This video shocked me, beware it is very graphic- but I think it is crucial that we know what animals go through before being slaughtered. What can be done to prevent this from happening? I am not stating we should all become vegetarians but these poor animals should be treated more humanely. Perhaps all us meat eaters should come together and avoid eating meat even for only one day so these inhumane and greedy people get the message. Something needs to be done, it is horrific!
Please watch but beware it may shock you, if you are bothered by too graphic videos do not watch but we need to to know what is going on before we eat our next steak and nuggets.

In both the old and new versions off the movie The Fly (and the simpsons version), there is a scene where you are supposed to be looking through the eyes of the fly and the view is of multiple images of the same field of view. Do you believe that this is how a fly sees or do you believe it only sees one image like we do?

Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people each year. As little as a tablespoon can be fatal. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe - often irriversable - damage to body tissue. Most of the deaths are cuased by accidental inhalation of DHMO. DHMO is an assential componant of a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as sulphuric acid, nitroglycerine and ethyl alcohol. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependant, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

DHMO is often used as:
Industrial solvent and coolant
In nuclear powerstations
in the production of styrofoam and other poisonous chemicals
to enhance the growth of genetic crops
fire retardant
cruel animal research
distribution of pesticides
additives in specific junkfoods.
