In both the old and new versions off the movie The Fly (and the simpsons version), there is a scene where you are supposed to be looking through the eyes of the fly and the view is of multiple images of the same field of view. Do you believe that this is how a fly sees or do you believe it only sees one image like we do?

Do we see multiple images because we have lots of cones and rods in our eyes? I suspect the fly doesn't either, the light information is just collected in a different way.

Flies don't really have consciousness, so it doesn't really matter how they see.

You have two eyes, but don't get double images, right?

I believe that a fly's brain would combine the incoming info into one visual map. Expect a fly's brain to do the same thing yours does.
