Yes they most certainly can.
The black widow spider has a very potent venom, and can easily kill a bird. The venom however must be injected into the blood stream to be effective. All venoms act in this way. If the bird eats the spider, there is no problem at all, even when the spider's venom sacs are digested, the stomach acids will neutralize its effect.
Even a human can drink lets say a full glass of cobra venom without dying, but if we have even the slightest cut in our mouth and the venom gets in, then it can be bad news.
If the black widow were to bite the bird's tongue then it would most likely die, especially that close to the head, brain fuction would stop almost immediatly.
Spiders are also very fragile arthropods, their bodies are rather soft, and the bird would peck it to death before actually ingesting it, so there is no real danger in it at all for the bird.

Good Question! the answer simply lies in the way that venom is designed (to be injected into the blood directly) and how the birds hunt the soft bodied critters!

Hope this answers your question!

Yes but the Black Widow has to be specially prepared by a Japanese sushi chef. (Use the same technique as pufferfish)

Yes, it's part of the food chain. Some animals are naturally immune to insects that they eat.
