Not soft-shelled turtles like the leatherback turtle. Is it the Galapagos turtle?

I meant tortoise or turtle. Sorry if I was confusing. The animals with the large shells.

you are correct the Galapagos tortoise, Geochelone nigra is the largest species, of land turtle weighing up to 900 pounds. The largest of all living turtles is the leatherback sea turtle, Dermochelys coriacea. weighing up to 1300 pounds. thats one masive bowl of turtle soup.

That leatherback turtle is the largest sea turtle. I'm not sure about the largest land one, though.

its the logger head see turtle the galapagos is a tortis not a turtle
turtles have flipers or webed feet and are adaped for aquatic life
tortis have feet wich are not webed and are more suted fore life on land and dry climates
