Why does anything at all exist? We don't regard existence as something, as it were, added to an already existent thing. But we do regard the existence of anything at all as something added to nothing. Such that we are perplexed that absolute nonexistence is not, as it were, reality. 'The world ought not to exist. There really should be nothing.'

A novice skier, starting from rest, slides down a frictionless 34.0° incline whose vertical height is 106 m. How fast is she going when she reaches the bottom?.

i was thinking about using K=1/2*mv^2 but we don't know the mass here or we can use w=m*g*h..

I took a plastic gallon milk container out of the refrig to put some milk in my coffee. This had less than a half inch of milk left in it. It was not exp milk as I checked the exp date (Aug. 4, 2006). The cap was the kind that you push down to secure not the screw kind. Anyway, I poured some milk in my coffee, sat the cont. on the counter and then sat the cap on top but did not push down (as I usually don't add the right amount on the first try). As I am adding sugar to my coffe and tasting, the cap begins to rise on one side and then plop down. It rose and ploped over and over again for approx. a minute, at which time I thought, "what the heck?", (and it was still going but the time between plops had slowed), I decided to stop it and pushed down on the cap to secure it. To try and describe it, have you ever seen one of those old steam pipes with the top hinged on one side so that when steam is pushing it up it won't blow completely off? This was not one pop but a rise/plop over &over.

I know nothing about sound frequency, so when I see things like Hz, I am at a loss as to what's being talked about. I really want this specific question answered, included with any additional information that may help me understand sound frequency in the future.

Could someone explain, in as much detail as they are willing to give, How the contravariant tensors can be transformed into Covariant tensors? I understand that Contravariant tensors are like Tangents and Covariant are as normal vectors to the surface. Perhaps someone has a good reference for the relations because I am having a difficult time seeing it...
