Every number has two square roots. You can't say the positive one, as making the square root of minus one either positive or negative makes -1 positive.

I would like to make sure that every family gets to dine with every other family during a family vacation week. In reality on one night there will only be two families cooking for five others. Grandma and Grandpa don't have to cook anymore. This simplifies the problem some, but I am still not sure if each family can dine with everyother family at least once that week. Any suggestions?

Give me the actual number name for a googol.
I want it in the format where it is an actual number, ex. million or quadrillion. I will not give credit to anyone who gives an answer like million-billion or anythin like that.

In column (A) of an Excel spreadsheet, I have calculated a 150-day simple moving average (sma), updated daily, for each day over a period of 3000 days. In column (B) I want to calculate the corresponding values for 1 standard deviation from the 150-day sma. In Column (C) I want to calculate 2 standard deviations from the 150 sma and in Column D, I want to calculate 3 standard deviations from the 150 sma. What would be the formulas for Columns (B), (C) and (D)? Thank you.

On Earth, you can only travel so far north and then you're going south again (and vice versa). But you can go east forever and ever and you're still going east; and the same is true of west. Why is that?
