I seen on discovery science a computer simulation of the entire universe. The animators used know scientific data to place all the galaxies. The picture showed about a billion galaxies and how they are placed with each other. My question is if at the edge of the universe there are galaxies and lets say in one of those distant galaxies there is intelligent life. If they point their telescopes toward the edge of universe what would they see?

The size of crystals in igneous rocks is generally a function of the rate of cooling. However, within the same rock crystal size does not necessarily reflect the order of crystallization for individual minerals. Without using Bowen’s Reaction Series, how might you determine the order of crystallization of minerals in an individual rock sample? (Hint: Think about the texture).

I am confused!! Can some one help me answer this question?

In the age of the dinosaurs, the moon overlapped the sun when it eclipsed it but has been moving further away ever since, so that now, by coincidence, it covers the sun exactly. A long way in the future, therefore, such a total eclipse will cease to be - does anyone have any idea roughly how long that will take, based on any calculations made in the scientific world?

To minimise the risk of lung cancer, if you walk past people smoking, is it safer to take quick, short breaths or one large breath and hold it in? If you take one breath and hold it in, you inhale less smoke, but more of it would penetrate the alveoli in the lungs and get trapped there, which may increase the risk of cancer. What's the safest thing to do?
