i don't get it...is'nt it 2006...if so how can 2001 be the present?!??! if u mean how it is different then i say its a lot worse than 5 years ago.sparse rainfall and misuse of the water has caused a major depletion of the water table in the cities. all the rivers are polluted.did you know that the yamuna gets 1000 tonnes of sewage and waste material DAILY. the capital of india, delhi,gets its drinking water from this same river.even the so called posh localities have barely two hours of water everyday.

A lot of people still do not have access to clean drinking water even in the cities.
