Trying to Conceive - January 2007

My husband and I have been trying to concieve for the past 8 to 9 months. I am currently taking Lexapro, Could that be stopping me ffrom getting pregnant????

I don't want to waste my money if not necessary. My husband and I are ttc, my cycles are irregular so hard to predict ovulation. My period should not be due until roughly around the 1st. I have had some changes in my breasts lately - extreme nipple sensativity, change in areola I have also had some mild cramping, and dizzy spells. do you think I should take a test yet or continue to wait it out?

My period has been irregular for the past few months.....This month around the time when I should have started I only spotted (around the 5th) now I am spotting again but not enough to wear anything just mainly when I wipe....The only symptoms that I have that could be related to pregnancy is my breast are tender, more tender on some days then other, I am tired all the time and I feel like I make more trips to the bathroom but I know that these all can be related to other things....Should I test or what???

I know that sperm can live for up to five days, but what about while menstruating? If insemination occured the day before menstruation, could the sperm have lived until after menstruation, and then implanted? I'm really confused about this!

And please no "go see your doctor" answers. I will see my doctor soon, but I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone, or if anyone knows of this.

Hi, I just wanted some opinions... We have been TTC for 5 months, and a few people know this, like my mother and best friend, but I was just curious what people thought about telling family before conception or just waiting for pregnancy.
Oh and on an important side note, we are engaged, but not married yet. (Please no mean remarks!)

Hi,
I have been trying to get pg. I have been off the pill since Oct. 22/06.
I have had regular periods, coming every 32 days, and now this one just came on day 30, and no luck yet. We have been doing it every 2nd day pretty much, so lots of love making makes me feel like one of us isn'tworking. I have a 5 year girl so I think I work, but I am scared he doesn't. How come I am not PG yet? Will I ever be?
PS, I am 26 and he is 35.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for years. Every month that we "try" my period is about a week late, accompanied by the worst cramps ever. They are so debilitating that I have to take Prescribed narcotics every few hours to get through them. I cant walk, I cant move... I can only lie in the fetal position in bed and cry till the pain dulls slightly with the meds.

BUT... On the months where we DONT try, My periods are PERFECTLY ON TIME, and my cramps arent that bad at all. I can function normally with just some ibuprofin.

Am I miscarrying? What is wrong with me? Has anyone else every had this happen? Please help me, Im completely lost, and dont know what to think about this.

Sometimes I am suspicious I may have pcos. Does everyone with pcos have extremely irregular periods? I'm not super overweight but I weigh more than I used to. I have crazy hairs popping up everywhere...where are some of the places you've experienced this? Is it painful only during periods? Could I just be going through hormonal changes?

I was confirmed/diagnosed with pcos last week by the doctor office. They called over the phone and gave me my results...So, then we set up a appointment for today "tues"...My question was for other patients who have been diagnosed with this...DID you get put on meds right away or do you have to wait...I don't just mean fertility drugs either...I hear alot of people go on metformin for weight, help wit insulin, slow of hair growth.....then people usualy take clomind wit it...anyways so i was wondering when you went back to the doctor did you get meds right away to help wit the other parts besides the fertility right away or is there more steps to go through...any advice or help would be great...yes i go to the doctor in three hours....but i can't wait!

I have been nauseous for about 4 days, tired, trouble sleeping, lower abdomen feels like it stretching/widening, urinating frequently, constipated,breasts feel bigger, and dizzy. I have heard that you can be pregnant and still have a period, but I am unsure. I have taken a test and it is negative. The whole month before my period began, I felt like I was pregnant (swollen boobs, tired, etc)

I don't think it will, but I have to get some blood work done in about a week and I may be coming down with a cold. I can't tell if it's allergies or a cold. Hopefully it's just allergies.

Had a D&C two weeks ago, this past Friday passed a clot with what the dr. thinks may still have had some fetal tissue. The cramping and bleeding stopped over the weekend but today the bleeding has started again. IS this normal? Anyone else experience this? Personal experiences please!

I've been on every type of birth control that there is I think; the pill, the implant, Depo Provera and the Mirena coil. The coil is so uncomfortable, I feel like I've had period cramps all the time in the 6 weeks that I've had it fitted and I am going to the doctor tonight to ask them to take it out. Pills make my breasts sore, the implant gives me 2 periods a month and Depo makes me depressed and not interested in sex.

I'm running out of options. I'd love to get my tubes tied (I'm 31, am single, no kids and definitely not wanting any) but everyone says, partonisingly that 'I'll change my mind'. At this point I am using birth control not to prevent pregnancy, but because 'they' say that I might want to become pregnant one day.

Are there any other options? Anyone who has had their tubes tied and regretted it? If I used nothing at all, what are the chance that I would become pregnant? I don't have any problem with getting a termination, but obviously don't want to do that often.

Ok, my friend just found out that I am pregnant with my third child. She has been ttc since the day she got married almost 3 years ago. She has tried invetro and at one time 6 eggs planted and then a few weeks later she lost them all. I cant even imagin the pain she is going through. I never once try and throw my family or kids in her face and when I talk to her, I dont even bring them up. I dont know how to talk to her anymore, nor do I know if she even wants to talk to me. We were really good friends and I miss talking to her and her friendship. Her mom make rude comments about me to my mom like " well this is kristin's third and my daughter just wants one". It really hurts my feelings and I dont know what to say to her because I dont wanna hurt her more. I have cried long enough about this now, and I need advise on ways I can talk to her and make sure that whats left of our friendship is not gone. How can I talk to her without hurting her or bring up a sentive subject. Thanks

My nipples have been hurting for a few days now.... could i be pregnant? I am like 2 weeks late but sometimes my period does that..
