It sounds like you COULD have PCOS, but it's certainly possible for you to be going through hormonal changes. There could also be other medical reasons why you're having these things happen. Your best bet is to see a doctor for tests, never try to diagnose yourself, especially when it comes to your reproductive health. Having a guess MIGHT help them know where to start looking for reasons, but a decent doctor should know that on his/her own. Whether it's PCOS or something else, if it needs to be treated, sooner is better.
When I was diagnosed, my cycles were all over the place (barely 4 to almost 7 weeks), and the cysts actually made intercourse painful more often than not, with the pain ranging from mild discomfort to feeling like I'd been shot in the abdomen (when you hit one just right, OMG). The only thing that tipped them off was the imbalance in the hormones when they did my blood tests. I guess I had put on a few pounds but I wasn't overweight, and that was partly from quitting work and therefore getting less exercise. A few months prior to that, I had actually LOST 8 pounds without trying or any discernable reason. I did/do have a fair amount of peach-fuzz on my face, but I always have so I don't know if that's really attributed to the PCOS in my case.

I have it. I have very irregular periods. I have gone 2 full years without one. Sometimes a might get 1 or 2 a year if I dont take anything to get them. My weight has fluctuated since I have been 18. Dont have very painful periods. Have a few stray hairs around the face. PCOS can cause acne to, which I never got till about 2 years ago, but not bad thank god! Can make it difficult to conceive-I am trying for my 2nd baby. The first one they said was a miracal -I was on a med to get my period when I conceived.

I was recently just diagnosed with PCOS...I have regular period though, but I have gained fifty pounds over the past couple years and diets just dont work. I also have hair. Though I have always had hair my entire life. Its mainly on my face but gets heavier...Today i'm going back to the doctor and hopefully getting medications for this. You should go in and see your ob gyn...All mine did was lab work, I did have to fast though.

I had PCOS....VERY irregular periods, excessive hair growth, weight gain, etc. My ovaries were covered with cysts. I had them removed but hopefully you won't have to go through that.

IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.
My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
