Pregnancy - March 2007

This neighborhood gal I wave at and say hi to, told me the other day that she is going to have a baby and I am the father. This is impossible since I never did the deed with her. She says I did it while sleepwalking and wants to file papers in court. Its true I go sleepwalking, but something like that would surely wake me up. Is this the Second Coming of Virgin Mary and she is trying to make a modern day Joseph out of me? What should I do?

I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years and love him, but he is very lazy and I’m not sure he will ever be able to provide for a family. We always said I would be the one working and he would stay at home with the kids, however when it comes down to it I’m not sure that really what I want. He says he supports my decision either way that it is my choice and I can't decide what I should do I could use some good advice.

I'm 18 and I'm 6 weeks pregnant....I've been dating the guy for a year but we were broken up when I found this out and he is talking to his ex gf again....Anyways it's just a bad situation and we've decided it's best if he signs over his rights....And he is making a big deal about him not wanting to pay for child support....Do you think he should pay or not?

I have a wonderful midwife and recently expressed my interest in a home birth. I don't want it in a hospital where sick people go, I always see things on the news about bacteria outbreaks in hospitals. and I know my house is very clean and big and my family can be downstairs making cups of tea for themselves, i can shower in my own shower etc.. has anyone had any experience with home birth? pros? cons? thank you

So like 3 days ago I was having contractions every 20 minutes all night long but then they stopped in the morning. My midwife told me that I was right below where I would have to call or come in to the hospital since at the time I was only 32 weeks pregnant. Well, now she measured my uterus and I'm measuring 34 weeks..well now I'm almost 35 weeks. She said she didn't need to check to see if I was dilating because she figured I wasn't since I was every 20 minutes apart. When do they start to check to see if your dilating? Also, from when you first start to have contractions.....how long was it for you to go into active labor?

I am 35 weeks and 5 days pregnant... Tuesday i was 1 cm dialated and my cervix was thinning out, according to the doctor. well the past 2 days i have woke up out of breathe and tired and feeling like total crap. Im not in the mood to do anything at all and will get pains here in there in my lower back and lower stomache. Nothing constant. My tummy will get really hard but then at times feels soo gushy that it doesnt even feel like anything is in there!..

Does anyone know why i have been feeeling this way.?

My last period was on about 01/22/07, and I had a pap done on 02/22/07 and I was spotting...implantation? The test says negative but I do have a few symptoms... When should I test again? Why wouldn't it show up now?

Throughout my pregnancy, my blood pressure has been 105-110/60. A week ago my bp was 125/70. I was working full time and noticed an increase in swelling in my hands and feet, so while at work, I took my BP it was 153/95, I called the Dr., and went for a non stress test. I was ordered to be on bed rest over the weekend and not work anymore, which I wasn't financially ready to hear. I have an appointment to see my doctor again in 3 days, Monday. I am just wondering if he will want to induce labor sooner than my due date in 19 days. What are your opinions and experiences?

ever since I got pregnant I don't feel like doing anything. like tonight I won't go out with friends I will most likely sit home and watch TV or play on the computer. I’m afraid if I go out I’ll drink or smoke and I know I can't but is it normal to isolate myself like this?

ok i am 36 weeks pregnant and my baby measure 38 weeks. I have been dialated at 1 cm ever since i went into preterm labor 2 weeks ago, they stopped my labor with a shot. So a lot of people say have sex to help go into labor. is it ok when your already dialated?

also what are some other tips for going into labor............i am ready for him to come out now and my dr said he's ready.........and so am I !

Hi. This question is not for me but for someone who is in need of some answers. There is someone that I know that has had one great pregnancy and nothing but miscarriages after words. She's going on her 7th as I type this. She is the kindest and most supportive person and it really hurt me that she keeps loosing her babies. She has had tons of genetic testing and they came up with a blood clotting condition but, the Dr's dont think this effects her pregnancies.
I'm asking the question here because, I'm sure there is someone out there who has gone through this and maybe may have some sort of suggestion as to what is going wrong.
This time around, she saw a hb at 5w5 days but the dr said it's not viable until they see it at 10 weeks.

ive always been obsessed with my stomach before I became pregnant. I would work out all the time and I loved that burning feeling after my work out was over. Now that i am pregnant I can feel my stomach tightening up but it doesnt hurt. Sometimes I think its just the baby pushing outwards. Could it be that because I have been so used to that burning and achiness feeling for so long, I cant feel my contractions now? Im 37 weeks and 1cm dialated, 75% effaced!

Sorry i just put my question across and thanks to those who already answered but i did forget to mention another thing!!

Basically I ovulated around the 15,16th of feb and had sex.
Had been spotting 28th&30th (brown/pink) and have never spotted before!
Today have been a slight bleed (red), but visable when wiping.

I did a hpt yesterday and it came negative.

I was told that its best to wait a week after implantation before taking a test.

Now because of the light bleed, im wondering if this is a period or normal for implantation?

Like i said ive never spotted!

Anyone have this before?
