This neighborhood gal I wave at and say hi to, told me the other day that she is going to have a baby and I am the father. This is impossible since I never did the deed with her. She says I did it while sleepwalking and wants to file papers in court. Its true I go sleepwalking, but something like that would surely wake me up. Is this the Second Coming of Virgin Mary and she is trying to make a modern day Joseph out of me? What should I do?

Wow. Well, yes it is possible, actually. Not only can you do all sorts of crazy things while sleepwalking, but there is a certain form of what I guess you would call sleepwalking called sexsomnia, where you actually regularly have sex in your sleep. I have a friend who has it and has to sleep alone in a locked room to avoid raping his girlfriend. So yeah, it is possible. On the other hand the woman does sound like a gold digger, so the first money you spend on this should be a paternity test, and nothing else unless you turn out to actually be the father.

Just stick to your story if it is true. If you are just pulling our leg about the whole sleep walking thing please don't. Sleepwalking is a serious condition. Some people even get killed while sleep walking. Hopefully you have the condition documented by a doctor and when the baby is born you can have a DNA test done. If u never had sex with the woman the baby is not yours.

It is possible though unlikely. There was a case of a man commiting MURDER while sleep-walking a number of years ago and the courts found him INNOCENT and I am NOT making this up. He of course had a long documented history of the disorder.

Likely this woman is making this up to get a pay day.

Get a DNA test and a lawyer. Stop waving at her and lock your door at night to keep yourself at home. If you are leaving the house at night it could be dangerous for you. Talk to your doctor about possible options.

I wouldnt say its impossible but I wouldnt take it as the truth without getting a paternity test done on the child after he/she is born

DNA, baby! That girl's a gold-digging floozie, assuming you have gold to dig. Tell her to go to hell, make her pay for the DNA test, and don't fork over a dime until you know for sure that it's your kid.

Which it won't be.

Go to court and demand a paternity test. She will lose and will have no claim to you or your money. If she backs off, sue her for paternity so she will never bother you again.

You have a dna test done when the baby is born...at her expense of course. That is an absolutely ludicris thing that she is saying.

Maybe you should stop the whole "sleeping thing"....truly overated.
Plus look at the trouble you are causing.....
Take care Joseph.

She sounds crazy. Does she act normal in public? I don't think you can do something like have sex with your neighbour and continue to be sleeping.
