Pregnancy - March 2007

I am 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I have been reading about what to expect when you go into labour and am a bit confused over this bloody show. I never had blood or spotting throughout my whole pregnancy and the thought of having blood prior to labour would freak me out. I would probably go into hospital right away thinking there is something wrong with the baby. So I am wondering how you can tell it is a bloody show versus something else like an abruptio placenta (premature separation of the placenta)?

...so reasons why I think I may be pregnant. 1. I recall having fertile looking cervical fluid around the time I had intercourse with my husband. 2. A slight spotting began yesterday and completely stopped ( I think this may implantation bleeding).3. I am feeling nauseous (but that may be due to fear too)4. I am unusually tired. 5. Lots of cramping, not painful but uncomfortable- I can feel activity within my uterus since its still sensitive from the last birth.

So what do you think? Is it too soon to test? Could I even be pregnant? My husband used the pull out method, which I personally think is dumb- but we are waiting for healthcare to approve his vasectomy. We had our last baby in December of 2006, and this would be our fourth (our oldest is 4 years old). See why Im scared, Im plumb tired! HELP!

because i haven't had my period for two months and my doc did a preggy test and it was negative... i was on birth control and just suddenly stopped taking it and my doc said it might take up to a year before i get it back... but if im not on my period can i still ovulate and get pregnant?? please help

I've been having a lot of braxton hicks today (I think?) and for the past half hour I have been experiencing period-like cramps, and also some cramping in my upper thighs. I haven't had any change in discharge, or "leaking" so to speak (sorry if TMI). I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I have an appt. with my doc tomorrow morning, and plan on calling if this persists, so please no "call your doctor" answers. Thanks!!

I have started taking birth control pills. I have taken the pills for one full month. Six pills into the second pack I had sex, we used a condom but it broke! Is there any chance that I am pregnant? I always take the pills at the same time but the first pill into the second pack i took 7 hours late.
Advice please?

I am planning to try to have a baby in the near future and i read somewhere that mint tea can be harm full to a pregnant woman especially if they have had miscarriages before. does this mean all types of mint or just one type. and are there any teas herbal or green that a pregnant woman can drink without harming her Baby?

i have had three kids drank only Milk, Juice, and water with them. then had a miscaraige because of the Marina IUC 12 months later i miscarried another Babybut this time i had morning sickness so bad nothing seemed to help and someone told me that mint would helpwith morningsickness. so i drank alot of mint tea. both spearmint and peppermint. i also have been under an abnormal ammount of stress, and am worried that i may have accedently caused my miscaraige. can anyone help me figure this out?

He's 10wks old and we've moved from Texas(very humid) to Montana(very dry). Now his scalp is dry, and flakey. Not like the way cradle cap is described, it's not yellow and thick, just the normal flakey scalp, and he does have some hair too!!! I've tried lotion but that just makes his hair greasy and doesn't seem to help much! Thanks!!!!

I have that "bubbly" feeling like something is going on down there, kinda like I am going to start, but no cramps, and really no other pms symptoms. I usually crave chocolate like no other before my period and I am not craving it at all? Has anyone else ever experienced that "feeling" and wound up preggo??? so im 37 weeks pregnant 4 days ago my Dr. said i was 70% effaced and 1 cm dialated ive been out walking alot and yesterday the baby was more active then ever he was moving so much now today theirs barely any i think i felt him move like twice throughout the whole day could less movement mean i could be going into labor soon heres some more details iv'e been having lower back pain today on and off and i can barely walk because im so sore

take with me? I live in Texas and it will a 10-12 hour drive. I already plan on getting fresh fruit and mixing them together but i would like some other alternatives to take. This is a question for men so obviously "best answer" will go to a man. I was curious after reading two other threads on here if any of you ever fear being trapped by a girlfriend/exgirlfriend by a pregnancy even if you discussed not being ready to be a father with her? Have any of you had this happen to you?

I've seen on here, today, two questions and everyone answering them jumped immediately to supporting the woman. Yes, pregnant women need support but we often don't have the whole story here on the internet so it surprised me that people would readily call the guy irresponsible or selfish without knowing the full details. I have seen young women try to trap a guy with a pregnancy (none of them worked) so I was just wondering if this is a common fear for guys or if it has ever happened?

If you press on tha belly does it induce labor so the baby will blast out? and does the dad have to slice the belly cord? also can you tie a knot so the baby can have an "outie"? instead of a regular belly?
