Sounds like you may have a urinary tract infection. Very common in pregnancy but can be serious if left untreated. Did your doc send a sample to the lab for analysis?

If the blood is in the urine then it indicates a possible infection as does the protein if levels are high. He will be sending it to the pathology department to find out if it is! I'm sure if it needs treatment he'll tell you.
This isn't normally what people are refering to when talking about bleeding in pregnancy? It means having what appears to be a period, This can happen and most break-through bleeding stops after a few months.

If you are worried about anything speak to your Doctor again and ask him what HE diagnoses.

I bled 'spotted' during my pregnancy, around about the same time period as you...My doc signed me off work and told me to take total bed rest for 2 weeks"!! I'm guessing now he was just over reacting and he thought i was going to miscarry...I've heard it's common for some women to bleed during the beginning, especially if it's their first pregnancy as it's just a way of their body adjusting to the new changes...a shock to the system so to speak....I wouldn' worry and i'm sure everything will be fine, as it was with me...you could also have a urine infection as someone else suggested.

I had bleeding around my 8th week of pregnancy with my second child. Everything went ok, but the doctors put it down to my body having regular periods for so long, it was clearing out what wasn't wanted for my pregnancy. Don't worry too much, bu if you have any concerns please contact your midwife
