because i haven't had my period for two months and my doc did a preggy test and it was negative... i was on birth control and just suddenly stopped taking it and my doc said it might take up to a year before i get it back... but if im not on my period can i still ovulate and get pregnant?? please help

You can only get pregnant if you are ovulating. You can have a period and still NOT be ovulating. Some women get pregnant the month after stopping the pill. Some get their period back right away and others don't. It all depends on your body, the pill you were taking, etc.

You can't get pregnant if you don't ovulate. Have your Dr give you the medication that makes your period come on, and then go for a blood test on the 21st day of your cycle to see if you ovulated. Even if you get your period every month does not mean that you ovulated...I found that out when I was ttc.

You do need to ovulate. You can get pregnant if you have sex around the time you ovulate because the sperm can live for days inside of you before it fertilises the egg.

U could be pregnant if your doctor did the test really early it my not have picked up but if you take a urine pregnant test and it's negative the it my be your pills some people have to take pills to keep their cycle regular

Yes. You can get pregnant when your not ovulating. You can even get pregnant while your on your period and before your first period. I heard all of this in a pregnancy class I took, so I hope it is helpful.
