i had my son about 4 1/2 months ago and i was breastfeeding and dried up so i put him on formula but i was able to breastfeed alittle still, now i have completly stopped for about a month and a half and i havent gotten a period and we have been having unprotected sex i was just wandering if there is a good chance of me being pregnant or should i be worried.

im 18.5 weeks and i have my ultra sound on the 27th, i just wonder though, how accurate are some of these methods??? and what are some of them?? i know there is something about how high or low you are, what types of food you crave, if your complexion is clear or not.. what were all of the old wifes tales that u heard of??

I found out i was pregnant 8weeks ago now not yet been for my fisrt scan. but what are the chances of having twins my husband is a twin and i have one set of twins on my side of the family. i heard that it skips a genaration so if that ture its my gen to have them now.

I feel so yucky. I have been lightheaded and stuff so it's hard for me to take a shower. I don't feel like cleaning or anything and it makes me feel so lazy. My sex life is suffering too. I know this is all common during pregnancy and I know or think my hubby understands but I feel so bad that I can't be a better wife. You have any thoughts on this?

I'm not due for another period until the 27th. I've had mild headaches and little spotting a week after my "period" in the beginning of the month, and now nothing..other than the nausea for a week. I haven't gotten sick yet, I would if I'd allow it, but that's not a feeling I want to have!! It's all day and I've taken medicine for it, but it hasn't helped. It's way too early to test for pregnancy. Has anyone experienced anything similar? What was the outcome?

I recently got off the pill (a little over a month ago). My partner and I had sex around my ovulation time but we had protected sex. However, during our session, we realized the condom broke. Lately, he has been sick then i got sick off and on which is rare, but I didn't think much of it. He sleeps just about all day and I tend to find myself falling asleep at work. I've had cramps off and on and my period is a day or 2 late. His mom has had dreams of fish (superstition that someone is or about to become pregnant). Please help. It may be that I'm just paranoid. Thanks.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby and live in Wales UK.

I often feel surprised when I watch American TV programmes on childbirth at how different things are over there.

Here in the UK all babies are delivered by midwives (obstetricians only attend high risk deliveries), midwives also provide all your ante natal care unless you have problems which make your pregnancy high risk.

Women are often encouraged to have water births, use milder painkillers like Gas and Air etc. C sections and epidurals tend to be reserved more for problems and prolonged labours etc.

In America it seems everyone automatically has an epidural, a drip in their arm, a bed-bound delivery and "vaginal birth" is considered something that you're lucky to achieve! And all babies seem to be delivered by doctors in a highly medicalised enviroment.

Is it really like this or is this just how the TV shows portray it?

BTW I have to say your hospitals are much nicer than ours!!

I was just wondering, Me and my partner are trying again to have a baby. We had a miscarriage in late august because of a molar pregnancy. She had a d&c in early Sept. the doctor okay'd us having a baby again. Her first period since the d&c was heavier than normal but her next period which she just had on the first was normal. According to our caculations she ovulated yesterday and she has been having all of the ovulating symptoms and me and my partner have been havin sex all week, the last time was 2 nights ago. She goes to the doctor on the 27th and I know that it is no way for us to know now but do you think our chances are good???

The other day I had very bad abdominal pains and i though I was gonna have to go to the emergency room, but I took a motrin and it was gone. Im not sure when I ovulated but I don't think Im pregnant I have no syptoms, can someone help please. By the way I will get a test today just to make sure.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and find myself extremly frustrated with my sex life. i could have sex with my b/f and want itt again half hour later, i have never been this bad, and usually my b/f is the one who initiates sex, i do too, but mostly him, and i find myself having to satisfie my own needs because i am constantly feeling that need, and its not that im not satisfied with my b/f cause i am, and he totally satisfies me, but i just keep wanting it, is something wrong with me, should i talk to my doctor, is this normal...Help i am sooo frustrated with myself!!

am 28 weeks pregnant and work at a salon. am very tierd at the moment and am getting terrible shooting pains in vagina area, also shooting pains in the lower part of my belly on the left hand side.. i know this is proberly normal but could over working,being on my feet all day.. nd constanly bending nd streching going to make this worse?? And not want to date me anymore since I'm pregnant?
We already discussed about abortion if I ever did become pregnant. He's 21 by the way.
And so I find out that I' am....
I'm going to get the abortion regardless, but I don't know if I should tell him because I'm afraid he will freak out.

My baby dropped about 2 weeks ago, and since then I've been really sore! My whole body (mostly crotch area and belly) is sore all the time, and I get sharp pains in my vagina. I've asked my doctor about this, and she always gives me really vague answers! Her words were "it's normal" and before I could ask her anything else she said she had another patient to see and she would see me in 2 weeks, and then walked out the door!

Has anyone else ever been sore like this? or have these sharp pains?

I am 11 weeks pregnant. I know that I am supposed to be eating very healthy and eating twice as much as before, but sometimes I can't eat at night. I feel hungry until I go around the food, and then I just lose my appetite. What do I do- is this harming the baby if I just eat a small portion? I'm trying the best I can.

Im am almost 35 weeks pregnant with a baby measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedual size wise atleast. If he is born at 35 weeks will he be healthy, I know he has a 99% survival rate but what about being compleatly healthy? I will do all i can to keep him in here until atleast 36-37 weeks, but will he be ok if something happens??

My Partner is 33 weeks pregnant & all is going well (fingers crossed) however the baby is getting very comfortable sitting on my partners sciatic nerve (spelling not great) and this courses a lot of discomfort - she even got stuck on the stairs!!!
Can anyone suggest tried & tested methods of relief for this?
