I would wait if I were you. You don't want to spend money on things that you may end up getting as shower gifts. When I did have baby things to buy, I usually went to Wal-Mart as they were better on the price than other stores. Sometimes you can get display models for half price. Watch for good deals in the sales papers. Last summer I bought my baby 12 outfits and 2 pairs of shoes at JCPenney for $53. Look for "end of season" sales.

I used to buy a lot of maternity things at Old Navy.com. They usually have some pretty good deals. You don't need maternity clothes right away but when you do, buy the pants that have adjustable panels so that you can let them out as you need to without having to buy bigger sizes later on.

I also used to shop the clearance racks as they usually have more of the larger sizes on clearance. Instead of wearing maternity shirts, I bought regular shirts in larger sizes for as little as $3 each.

I disagree, your baby will use the crib for at lest 2 years get a good one that turns into a toodler bed so you don't need to buy another one for 5 years. car seats are important too, you should buy a new one because if it is in an accident it can be weakened and not work. But strollers and clothes you can find at yardsales, salvation army or find a friend who can loan you hers untill they need them again. Wal mart is usually the cheapest place, but I baught a car seat on clearance there, and found out it was on recall!!! I was so mad!

Wal-mart has nice cribs that are not too expensive and I got my Stroller-carseat combo from Kmart for only 125.00... It's good quality too... I actually got my crib from somebody at my husbands job.. Check around with friends or maybe even yardsales.. Sometimes you can find barely used stuff there for really cheap.. Spend the real money on a bunkbead for when he/she gets older.. Good luck

I buy everything used. (Except carseats) Yard sales and thrift stores are great! If you can't find what you need at a thrift store or yard sale try children's consignment shops (Once Upon a Child, Kid to Kid, etc.) Or try Craigslist. They're free online classifieds. There is probably one in your area and then you just buy things from people who don't want them anymore. You can save so much money buying used things, and the baby doesn't care. All in all you get better quality than buying a more expensive but lower quality new item.

I had a toddler 7 months in the past and am 4 months pregnant now! i think of that's diverse for each individual nonetheless. I wore them commencing early final time because of the fact i became working and that i mandatory expert outfits that would desire to advance with me (like black pants, tan pants) Now that i'm a stay at residing house mom I even have been residing in sweat pants and that i purchase a rather good variety of stuff on sale (no longer maternity outfits) yet like length super shipment pants are my famous! i comprehend of a few people who never placed on maternity outfits, it rather relies upon on the guy. only only verify you do no longer placed on too tight of outfits. you will desire to be mushy on your sake and the little ones. My perfect advice... good purchase shop! you're in effortless terms pregnant for 9 months. You wont be wearing those outfits that long :)

Try Babies are Us, Target, Walmart, etc. Or Ebay. You can often find great used stuff on Ebay...oh, or a consignment or thrift shop. However I don't reccommend a used car seat, but everything else should be fine...a little bleach and some scrubbin' and you're good to go!! Good luck and congrats.

I'd say walmart, or burlington coat factory. They're pretty reasonable. Even some 2nd hand stores, sometimes they carry brand new stuff.

I think that the best place to buy just about everything is Wal-Mart the stuff is reasonable and durable, and just think everything you need is at one stop food to diapers!!!

Do you have a "once upon a child" where you're at? I really suggest that place if you do. It sells gently used items for very cheap
