So I am TTC and am having a real problem with boys names. My parents are lebanese and my husband is english and I really want the name to have some part of me in it as the surname is SO english. My husband doesn't like most arabic boys names and he has already vetoed Zain as he thinks it sounds like 'insane'. Does anyone have any names that sound good both in english and arabic?

Just 3 weeks until induction. I'm dilating and contracting and we're going nuts trying to nail down the name of our precious little boy.
We want a /k/ name, either hard c or k. (as in Collin or Keith, not an /s/ sound like Cecil, not /ch/ as in Chad)

I have lots of list of /k/ names, but please just tell me ONE name that you think goes well/best with Ken. Thank you so much!!!This poor baby needs a name! :o)

I love classic names. We were thinking if it's a boy, Thomas Jacob (TJ) Tice. For a girl, Elenor (Elle or Ella) Christine Tice. My grandmother's name is Elenor. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks!

hello everyone. we thought the name katy/katie was too common, so were thinking of one of the above, which of the 3 do you prefer? and does anyone know the origins of the different spellings? or any other alternatives for "Katie/Katy" What about middle names? what do you think of Anoushka or will both together sound too eastern european?

Thank you guys, youre always such a help!! <3

Kaitlin Elizabeth to be exact. Should I feel guilty that I am considering naming my child one of THE most popular names?? If I have a boy I intend on naming him Jeremy Matthew... I really have my mind set on that one. I might find out the sex of the baby tomorrow... Anyway, what is your opinion on naming your child something you know is very popular?

I want a strong, yet beautiful name for my daughter. I'm not into contemporary american names. That means no Ashley, Madison, Karen, Sherri,Jane, Nicole, Makayla, Meridith, Jennifer etc....So I decided to go with the African baby girl names.

Choices...

Safiya (sah-fee-ah)
Zakiyah (za-key-ah)
Naya (ny-ah)
Octavia
Keenah (key-nah)
Brie
Jada
Sade
Kai

Suggestions are welcomed as long as the names are not american contemporary.

We've decided on the names of the baby, and would like to hear any input...good or bad, that you all may have.
Now, seeing as how my husband is Norwegian and I am American, we wanted names that would fit in relatively in both countries without being too odd.
Erik Aleksander Melvær.
Anya Marie Melvær.
So give me what you got, I'd like to know any critisism he or she may face with these names...
