as a first name, do you like it? please tell me what you think about this name. and would you pronounce it "share" or ? when first time see it.

I guess my first thought would be "how do I pronounce this?" and remember it is your child who will have to deal with it the first day of any school year and every time he or she goes to a job interview as an adult.
If you like the sound of the name, why not just come up with a more conventional spelling so folks will know how to pronounce it?

Ya, my first pronunciation was "share". Is that how it's supposed to be pronounced? I like the name Shayer though! And that spelling is nice too (with the y)!

Do not know how to pronounce it and the child would be forever spelling it therefore DO NOT LIKE IT AT ALL !!!!

I would pronouce it like "share" when I see it. I do not care for that name or spelling though. A kid will get teased for that name.

My first thought was "Share" like "Cher", big haired eighties singer with the risque outfits. With that association, I have to say I don't care for it.

no it is awful!!!! go with Cher or Shar or Char if you like the name so much,at least spell it so it makes sense!!!!!
