So I am TTC and am having a real problem with boys names. My parents are lebanese and my husband is english and I really want the name to have some part of me in it as the surname is SO english. My husband doesn't like most arabic boys names and he has already vetoed Zain as he thinks it sounds like 'insane'. Does anyone have any names that sound good both in english and arabic?

Wow, really like that Aymon idea, what a great crossover. My husband works in Libya and he suggested Adif. (short and easy) Maybe if you speak Arabic, how about going thru an arabic dictionary and find words that cross over into a name. After all, many names that are popular now were once only associated as last names and occupations.

Ya'll need to find a middle ground, whether it's giving the boy an Arabic first name or an Arabic middle name. Good luck :)

I really don't know any Arabic names but I just wanted to tell you Its you child and what if later down the road you and your husband brake up and you had to stick with the name he picked. All I'm saying is you pick the First name and tell him he can pick the Middle name cause no matter what you will be taking care of this child with or without your husband.
