Baby Names - January 2007

I have always loved the first name Jill but am getting some flack (We don't like Jillian so that's not an option). I like Jill Elizabeth, Jill Victoria, or Poppy Jill for my daughter and would love to call her Jilly! Thoughts?

What do you think of two siblings having the same middle name? It is a family name, and I kind of like the Idea, to honor my father. The name can be spelled differently for masculine or feminine.

When we were pregnant with our third baby I realized that the first initials of our names were DECA. And then the only name my husband would agree to name our third was Lily. So now our names spell the word DECAL. Now I'm starting to think "should we continue to spell a word with the rest of our kids?" Is that silly to think? I don't know what else we could add but a "S" and make the word DECALS or there's the word DECALOG or DECALOGUE. By the way this wasn't planned at all it's just how it happened. Does anyone else spell words with their names, or have some kind of system for naming their kids?

My name is Yasmin, and when people sya it most of the time they say Yaz/ mean instead of Yaz/min. Why does it really matter if you have the e at the end or not. (I dont apparently) Why is the pronucation different if you add a z instead of a s? Why do people think my name is Yaz/mean instead of prounuced as its looks?

Please offer suggestions, this is a real problem because I would go with Connor nicholas but husband thinks Connor sounds weak... He likes Marcus and Harrison but I am not sold on either. I like Cole Alexander but his sister is Alexandra Morgan so I don't know if this is silly, we both love Niicholas but with alexandra they would sound Russian....I love Zachary Thomas but husband says this is a hillbilly name!!!
