I have a 3 syllable last name and a 3 syllable first name and it's a mouthful. If you have a longer last name I would stick to shorter first names like 2 syllables or less. I think I would like a name that starts with a vowel with a W last name but it's really so open to what kind of names you like.

If this is your first child or girl, you shoud come up with something that compliments your name and the fathers name.
Ask for the fathers oppinion as well. Believe it or not, men have good ideas for names for thier daughter. Give that option especially if there are no boys in the family. It makes them feel a litttle better. My husband picked out our daughter's name and I love it!

That's great news, when it comes to names maybe you can consider this.

Have you met two or more person having the same name, do you think they have similarities except for the name.

How about a bad person, does his/her name represent the attitude.

You may think this is funny, but I have been observing my family and friends in respect of there names.

Personally I feel, names do affect the persons attitude, view in life and success.

Better pick a name from a person you personally know and like, your child may not grow exactly as she is, but it might help your child to have the qualities you want.

Do you know anything about your family tree? Maybe there is a female in the family that you admire. Things to remember-try not to make the spelling too different. Everyone loves to look for things with their name on them. Remember that kids can be really mean and smart. Watch out for what the initials will spell. My mom's initials were MEW and my niece's are ***.
