It took it a while to sink in, but I think I enjoy the community that is Y!A, checking my ideas against others', getting a feel for what is going on out there.

Plus, it's an education in many ways. We're fortunate to have a lot of great info here and a lot of wonderfully creative posters, imo.

Why do you come back?

If people refused to buy at those prices in the first place, that would have forced prices back down to reality. Instead, Californians kept trying to one-up their peers with homes they could not afford which inflated the prices. I lived there and saw it. I told my Cali realtor I'd rent before spending half a millon on those junk houses, 750k for a decent sized house. Others should have too.

By bailing out these wanna-be showboats, the bail-out will partially prevent the prices to be reduced to normal. Am I wrong?

Today in a press conference, while discussing a Home Mortgage Agreement designed to help home owners in today's financial crunch, Bush Jr stated the program is not for ppl that got mortgages they knew they couldn't afford.

Now... I'm kind of scratching my head here....

Why make a program to only help ppl THAT CAN AFFORD their mortgage... this is not making sense to me.

1. Like who on Earth would say, "Oh let's get that mortgage so we can lose our house because we KNOW we can't afford it."

2. Half the problem is admittedly due to banks giving mortgages THEY KNEW the ppl might not be able to afford.

I'm sure all of you have seen in the news the CIA report on Iranian nuclear developement and if you haven't seen it on fox news (just joking), you cought the part about how a nuclear weapon is unlikely to be the case. The question is how long will this hold over? You know they're going to pull some nonsense like the agents lied or a report isn't good enough to ensure our safety (but it's plent to age a war).

How long and what do you think they'll scare us with this time? Don't be afraid to be sarcastic and far fetched.
I got my money on the head of the project being gay and had an abortion with an Iranian loyalist who helped him cover things up.

Who would want to even vot for Hillary. she wants our health care plan to be socialism which means we will be paying higher taxes so when we go to the doctors it will be free, so non working people don't have to pay taxes for health care, and illegal immagrants will be getting a free ride in America while we are paying high taxes so they have free healthcare.

David Icke claims several people are REPTILIANS. Well, if it wasn't for the reptilians, the US would have had some deep recessions in the early 1990's.
The Reptilians have done alot of good for the US and the world, why do conspiracy theorists keep picking on them?

THE TOPIC:

Describe a person who has been important in your life. This should be someone who has personally touched your life and in some way made a difference in your life. You should include why you admire this person, how you might like to emulate him or her, and a concrete example(s) that illustrates his or her importance in your life.

MY ESSAY:

Many people have come and gone throughout my life and have had an effect on who I am today. One person in particular who stands out to me is my grandmother. She currently lives in another country, but I had the privilege of knowing over the few years she spent living with my family. About two years ago, my dad lost his job, so my family went through a difficult time. I couldn’t always do things I wanted to because of my parents’ money problems. My grandmother couldn’t help with
