I'm bisexual. I am in a committed romantic relationship with another girl. She was my best friend for many years and now she's my significant other. I think I might eventually marry her, but I'm not planning that far ahead yet. I'm not interested in any guys. When I date guys I only use them for sex. If I decide to marry her, or another girl, shouldn't I be allowed to? Why do so many people want to make that illegal?

Isnt this the Imperial Presidency Cheney and Rumsfeld setup for Bush? He could not have done this on his own. Its not even remotely Constitutional.

Since there are no WMDs, was this in our best interest ?
Even BUSH admits there is no connection between Iraq and September eleventh, 2001. Or did we invade Iraq to " fight them over there -instead of over here " ? I am still puzzled why this war had to happen.

I hate hearing that the politicans care about there community... but do they seriously ? why do they make everything so hard? if they care so much why dont we get to have our say about what they are doing? when is something wrong or right?
starting a war thats wrong we should have our say. making the community safer is right but when do they make everyone happy with how they feel about what they are doing. when can we have our say?
i think everyone could do good things and bad things , we all make mistakes but we all should repair the mistakes we make and ask others on what they think... so should they. do they actually care??

Why is it that angry conservatives get so worked up about "welfare" (even though there is no such government program) when it's such a tiny percentage of the budget?

Interest alone on the conservative debt accounts for 5 times what we spend on programs like Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, yet Cheney says "deficits don't matter." And it is a conservtive debt, more than 90% created by conservative presidents.

So why is it that conservatives hype this non-issue so much?

Budget Figures:
(a little old, but if anything, the % on "welfare" is smaller now): http://www.futureofchildren.org/information2850/information_show.htm?doc_id=73045

Watch the preview. The Dixie chicks recieved death threats because they don't like bush. Free speech must be UnAmerican, huh republicans.

Bush and his bs represent the lower educated people of the US and he has his supporters, who are no doubt of limited intelligence as well. So when the DC went against him it became very "unamerican" to that crowd of uneducated backwater hillbillies who in turn sent them death threats. Makes sense right? I guess the DC lost thier "base" But the bigger picture is that he has been successful at rallying people by appealing to thier small minds and inate need to hate someone else. So if you dont "hate the bad guys" you must be unamerican. The fact that it works/worked is totally freaky.

Remember, following a president's lies blindly about a war is more like communism, than American.

So why, did The Dixie chicks recieve that mail for doing something protected under the constitution??

I really don't care what people think of me on here, just what I think of myself, so I want to apoligies to the Aussie's. Well with that being said I can forgive myself and move on. Happy Halloween!

They say that the news should be fair politically, as in they should never lean towards one side. But, of course, they do. Fox, ABC, CNN, etc...which ones are a little more democratic? More republican? Is there one that represents a good balance?

He didn't seem to want to counter at the implications of getting at voters misgivings on race.

He landed it down in a kitchen add, only tipping at it:
"If I had a dog, he'd probably kick my dog too."

Taking it rather graciously, don't you think?
Or is Harold better met, At a PLaayboy Partieeee?
Is the ad just funny?
Or irrelevant?

It seems to me that school choice would benefit the poor the most. Rich kids already go to good public schools in their wealthy communities, or can afford good private schools. It's the poor kids that would benefit most from school choice.

Same thing with social security private accounts. Wealthy people already have substantial assets. A private account system, even if it involves investing just a portion of the 12.4% SS tax would create huge savings for even very low income workers over a lifetime of work. That's assuming even modest return on investment of say 5% annually. We're talking 100's of thousands of dollars over a life time.

My answer is that it's true that republicans are for the wealthy, and democrats are for the poor, and as such repulicans want there to be more wealthy and educated people who will vote for them, and democrats want there to be more poor to vote for them. Does anyone have another explanation that makes sense? enpower government or people?

Firstly, I know I'll get a lot of thumbs down on this... but it needs to be said.

Isn't the word "terrorist" just I way of taking away someones humanity and rendering their grievances meaningless? I mean, how do you define the difference between a terrorist and a freedom-fighter? Was the French resistance in world war two a terrorist orginization because they resisted the Nazis, killed innocent civillians, and blew stuff up? So basically what I'm asking is, if a resistor is muslim does that make him a terrorist? And if someone is classified as a terrorist, why should negotiation not be considered?

I now I'm going to get a lot of, "You liberals support terrorists" on this question, and that will only show that many people don't have any answers...
