Christian when Convenient. If gay marriage springs up, then the Christian Coalition is all on it. But where the heck were they when the truth about Foley came out?

First. Not all Republicans are religious. For those who are, there is no religious law that says they have to give their money to certain charities. Most people pick out two or three that they really want to support and send their money to them. I give to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. I also like St. Jude's. I do donate clothes to Good Will occasionally, but that's because it's one of my daughters favorite charities, and she helps me get the clothes ready.

because they are just people...just like some Democrats dint support charities..its a personal conviction..there are Dem's. that are really Christians as well as rep. that are true Christians..just giving money or time to a charity doesn't make someone a christian. besides there are many many charities in this and other countries..i would almost bet that most if not all politicians rep. and dem. give to one sort of charity or another....its good PR for them...during election time...

Habitat for humanity is the way Carter atones for the bad job he did as president, their are plenty of other charities not associated with him. He did such a bad job as president why would you want him to handle your donations?

well, habitat for humanity is out for republicans because jimmy carter supports it. i would guess that the majority of republicans in the public eye to support some worthy charity cause - it looks good for them. as for private republicans, i really don't know, but it would be interesting to find out - actually it would be interesting to find out which parties supported what causes in general.

Well, they hate Jimmy Carter for one. Their hatred of this well-intentioned, soft-spoken, deeply religious Christian man can only be explained by the fact that he's a Democrat and critical of Bush. We see how their loyalties really lie, don't we?

Everyone supports their own charity. What's important is that we all support some charity.
