Most immigrants I talk to simply want a strong economy so that they can have a job, that is why they came here, and didn't go to another Latin American country. If we drain the economy with taxes for immigrant programs, the economy will do worse.

They say they want to require voter ID's to keep illegals from voting, when the truth is there is little or no evidence voter fraud is taking place.

The U.S. Election Assistance Commission -- a federal body established by Congress to aid the administration of
elections -- commissioned a report in May that concluded: "There is widespread but not unanimous agreement that there is little polling-place fraud, or at least much less than is claimed, including voter impersonation, 'dead' voters, non-citizen voting and felon voters."

Im doing a debate on gun control, and I got picked to be anti-gun control (as in I dont think guns should be banned, and people should be able to carry them around).

I have lots of good stats, but my oponents main argument is "Why does anyone need to walk around with an AK-47 or an uzi?" How do I respond to that? I cant really think of a good argument of WHY someone should be able to walk around with an automatic gun, or any kind of rebuttle.

Thanks for any responses.

If Republicans hate taxes so much, why didn't they just skip the Iraq war and eliminate personal income tax completely? The deficit would be no worse for the wear. Why do they insist on taxing us unnecessarily when it could easily be eliminated completely if they simply governed their spending more?
