Bush is a globalist whos made only couple tax cuts, sends billions in Federal aid, he is expanding the federal government, he leaves our borders unprotected, he lets China destroy our markets. Bush is liberal.

because America's typical understanding of the political spectrum is rather 'dumbed down.' They only know left vs. right or Democrat vs. Republican. Bush is a neo-liberal authoritarian.

I think for 2 reasons:
1. Bush has a spine and makes a practice of standing up and confronting our enemies, whereas the invertebrate Democrats would choose the path of appeasement. There are no strong Democrats left in the mold of FDR, Truman and JFK.
2. Bush is not a Democrat, and they have been driven insane by being cast out of power.
To Believeinpossibilities - Yes, the liberals do "hate" Bush. It is very easy to find examples of such hatred on the web. Go to dailykos.com or democratunderground.com. Many liberals would happily pull the trigger on Bush if they had a chance.

Liberals don't hate Bush, they hate what his administration has done to this country. Hate is really more of a Conservative ideal. Also, apparently, you really don't know what a Liberal is all about. Most Liberals are fiscally conservative. Bush is not Liberal, he is more of a Fascist.
You see, I rest my case. You don't know what a Liberal is at all. You think a Liberal is the straw man that right-wing ideologues kooks spew about. Truly sad.

those tea occasion nuts frighten the hell out of me. i'm no longer particularly enamored with Obama, however the lack of awareness and racism that has been main at those tea events is disgusting and downright frightening. those nuts have shown as much as Obama city halls and rallies carrying loaded hearth hands, and those each and every physique is thoroughly oblivious to history and what's certainly occurring interior the international. fortuitously, those nuts purely make up a small faction of the vote casting inhabitants, yet adequate to get loons like Michelle Bachman elected and supply Glen Beck the scores he needs to stay on the air. whilst Bush became president, there became a super form of animosity from liberals. despite the fact that it became reflective of coverage, no longer paranoia. They hated Bush for what he DID, no longer what they theory ought to happen. it extremely is the version. Conservatives are offended over the bailout, deficits and such. and that they have a perfect to be. yet the place have been those tea partiers whilst Bush became in workplace racking up checklist deficits, and it became he who became president whilst the bailout handed. the place's the outcry over that? rather, those ignorant loons ignore approximately fact and blame Obama using fact of their partisan and racial bigotry.

Really it is not just liberals that hate Bush he is the antithasis of everything this country stands for take a good look at the patriot act and tell me I am wrong. I am not by any means a liberal hell I even voted for him the first time around but now I deeply regret my decision to vote to place someone so corrupt in office.

You are kidding. He is a hardliner who has the most secretive administration of any administration.
He repeatedly passes legislation that does liberal things only in name. His proposals for cutting government spending focus hardest on the environmental, and education programs and least on military and conservative projects.

I've wondered the same thing myself. They call him an "extreme right-winger" when, in fact, he has proven to be liberal on almost all fronts except his response to 9/11.
I couldn't stand Bill Clinton, but he finally did sign Welfare Reform as well as other measures favorable to conservatives.

I don't hate Bush.
Giving handouts to Big Business, huge tax cuts for the rich, denigrating science, appealing to racism, intolerance and religious bigots, promoting torture, suspending Habeous Corpus, spying on americans without a warrant, etc. is hardly liberal according to my definition.

To be blunt it sickens me to watch what he has done to MY republican party (and yes I do take it personal)
IMHO the republican party has completely lost sight of Conservative ideology
