I have lived in several states and never before have I been required to present an embossed copy of my marriage certificate to get my driver's license. I was wondering if WV was the only backwards state to require this. Please tell me your state when you respond. Thanks.

I vote conservative so that means usually Republican but one major issue I differ with most Republicans on is the Department of Corrections. I think there are way too many innocent people in prison / people that don't really belong there. And many have paid their debt to society and need to be released. Many Republicans have a throw away the key mentality and I think that's wrong! However there are many people paroled that shouldn't be. I think the whole justice system needs to be revamped to bring about a higher percentage of fair trials.
Anyway, do you have an issue that you generally depart from your political party's position on?
