I don't like the trend of doing business with China (out source jobs) while letting U.S. factories go belly up. The issue with me is with the American worker, but more seriously, we need to keep factories up and running in case (when) there is another major war. Both previous world wars caught us with no production capability. Example..I met someone who worked in a factory where the landing gear struts for the C5A were built. He told me that he and 3 others were the only ones in the country who knew how to run the machine that performed a particular operation needed to build these parts..and he was at the point of retiring. I talked to someone who was drafted during the early part of WW-2 and he told me that he trained and marched using a 2x4 piece of wood for a rifle. They were told to throw themselved down on the ground and simulate firing their "rifle" and say "bang"..all this because there were no guns or ammunition available. My dad was a medic in Korea in 1951 and he told me many of the casualties were from frost bite because there weren't enough cold weather boots and coats to go around. China could very easily win a war with us by withholding supplies to us!..being that everything is manufactured over there..Can you imagine the insult..the berets that our Army special forces uses was, at one time, made in China.

Republican here, and I disagree with them on the following issues.
1. Abortion, I don't like it BUT there are times when this procedure seems quite necessary.
2. Stem Cell research, it's ok to destroy these unused fetuses but it's not ok to use the life saving cells from them, as someone who would benefit from Stem Cell research I don't get it.
3. Border security, enough already close the damn holes in our borders.
4. Stop being the nice guys, learn to fight dirty like the Democrats have always done.
There are more but suddenly I have a headache, go figure

The political events do agree on numerous issues. If a situation is provided and there is in undemanding terms one sturdy answer the two factors might even see it a similar way. regardless of the noise politicians make you're able to examine thier balloting trend to confirm the place they consider the contest.

I am Republican and there are several issues with which I don't fully agree with my party. Immigration as others have pointed out is one.
Stem cell research is another. I am pro-life (in terms of fetuses), but also pro-stem. Somewhere, the anti-stem crowd hijacked the anti-abortion agenda. Before, to be pro-life, you only had to be anti-abortion. Now you have to be anti-abortion and anti-stem, or you are not "pro-life enough."
I am a TS, and I agree with my party's stand on gay marriage, homosexuality, and general transgenderism. However, I'd love for them to get behind assimilationist transsexuals who want to get their surgery and move on with life. They lump TSs, TGs, and LGBs together, yet they fail to see that TSs are the most conservative of the 3 and the most likely to support the 2-gender construct. If TSs didn't believe in only 2 genders, and only 2 sexes, they would not get the surgery. TGs want to live somewhat as women without the surgery and tend not to really fit in anywhere. So I am with Republicans in being anti-ENDA, but I wished they would do more for the rights of anti-gay TSs who believe in only 2 genders and who intend on full-assimilation. So why not a Republican version of ENDA that only helps TSs without helping TGs, gays, lesbians, or bisexuals?

The importance of securing our borders is a biggie for me and the GOP hasn't really jumped on board.

Illegal immigration. For goodness sake, we have to do something. We are full of foreigners who have no desire to assimilate, only demand services that are breaking the backs of our cities!
