retroactive..so do you mean someone that had an abortion in the 50s could get a letter saying hey we decided it is legal now? You can't change the laws from years ago. Now if it was a case of a doctor that lost his /her licsense due to performing an abortion while illegal they may be able to take the case before the appeal board and get reinstated using the arguement that at the time (s)he felt the law unjust and damaging to the patients health and as the doctors take an oath to do no harm, they saw the woman having the baby as harmful.

You cant abort a person who is already born. Whatever you want to do to your body is OK with me and the rest of the world but youre out of luck in aborting yourself.

Lets see is war legal? It's so funny how many anti abortion people are for the war and churches call killers heros isn't it? Please I know it's election time but there are 4 billion too many people on earth to substain the people it has for the next 40 years and that number is going down fast--the years!

Suicide tends to effect the family and friends of the dead person, thus it is frowned upon in our society. Since we generally haven't seen or gotten to know a baby yet, it is not considered so bad.

I've always wondered how they can say it's "the woman's body", when she didn't get pregnant by herself.
It's "part" of the man's body, then, too.
Oops, there goes all the "pro-choice" arguments that have ever been made.
