Are the internal workings of the HOR/Sen fair to
the electorate? Does each group of voters really
get an equal voice regardless of seniority? Are the
practices constitutional?

According to MSNBC Iran is now threatening U.N. Nations for sanctions against Iran. Ahmadinejad says sanction backers will soon regret their ‘superficial act.’ It seems Iran is wanting nuclear powers for military purposes, not just energy as they mentioned earlier.

Should U.N. countries attack Iran before they fully develop and test nuclear bombs? Should they wait, but it will be to late if Iran does plan to threaten countries with nuclear weapons? Why does the Middle East cause so many problems, why can't they just leave the western world alone since they hate it so much!?

I've read many people say we must do everything we can to keep our country free. But when I ask them why haven't they joined the military to fight in Iraq they just look at me like I'd asked something way out of line. People talk about sacrifice but the only people I see sacrificing anything are the 3 million men and women already in the service. And since they are having trouble meeting recruiting goals I'd say that all these "loyal" Americans are content to let those already serving do the sacrificing. Just curious. (FYI...I'm a Viet Nam war veteran....I did my duty...1968-1972)

It's only a matter of time. Massive debt, running out of energy, running out of water and jobs going overseas. The government is owned or controlled by mega corporations and the middle class is shrinking. How long will the US last before it collapses and what will the country look like afterwards?

Our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush says we must increase our forces to fight the World War against Terrorism. Time is not on our side, we need these troops now!
A draft will be the most efficient. I support a draft with deferrments for college and purchased deferrments. The draft should conscript the uneducated and unemployed first. I think most of America will support such a draft. What do you think?

Both these countries are in the Middle East, a vulnerable region. Iran's nuclear program is peaceful but Israel's is not.
Zionists occupied a country. They are killing innocence people for years. They invade their neighbors. They have the slaughter of women and children in their history.
But Iran does not have any bad history.
Assume Iran's nuclear activities are not peaceful. Why they impose sanctions on Iran but not on Israel which is a criminal regime?????

This is a serious question, so please don’t start being abusive. I’m British & really want to understand this.

I see a lot of comments like “Lucky Clinton wasn’t in-charge on 9/11” or “Clinton ignored Bin Laden & didn’t prevent 9/11” etc.

Outside America, Clinton was popular & gave the US a great image. He helped Britain find peace with the IRA and supported the Kosovo conflict.

Didn't he also stabilise the US deficit & put the economy in the black (currently in the red)

I read he was attacked by the right wing Neocon’s because he didn’t sponsor their aggressive, conflict driven foreign policy. It was smear?

Didn’t Clinton have "A Comprehensive Strategy to Fight Al-Qaeda" that was handed to Bush & then ignored?

The first WTC attack was in Clinton’s first month as President. But he didn’t blame Bush Snr. Why is Clinton blamed for G.W. Bush?

Watching a Christmas Carol tonight, Ebeneezer Scrooge's sentiments:

"Are there no prisons, no workhouses?/ I cannot afford to make Idle People Merry/ They should die and decrease the surplus population"

Reminds me an awful lot of the sentiments echoed on this board by many Proponents of Capitalism/free market economy and opponents of socialism:

"Its human nature to want to keep one's money. The poor are lazy. Its their fault they are poor. I shouldn't have to support them out of my taxes. Are they no charities to help them blah blah blah."

Seems that nothing has changed in 150 years.

For 2 years leftists lied like dogs about Karl Rove outing a CIA agent.
And it was all false!
Just a planned propaganda attempt designed to undermine the President during war time.

Do leftist feel any shame over this outrage and sedition?

Kofi Annan leaves the UN on News Years Day. Rather than simply replace him, should world leaders take a fresh look at the UN & it’s relevant in today’s world?

I feel the UN is an indecisive, inactive, squabbling, corrupt, under-achieving, over-spending disaster. Look at the UN impact on the Iran & N.Korean issues – Useless

Also, look at Iraq after the 1991 Gulf War. The UN corruptly ran secret oil deals with Saddam, making him a fortune.

Then used sanctions on the oppressed civilians to deny food & medicine!! This was a secret UN policy of intentional genocide, lasting well over 10 years.

UN intervention in Iraq killed 1.5 million oppressed Iraqi’s, but paid millions to the evil Dictator.

A few other UN corruption & extortion scandals:

-In West Africa, it's Sex-for-Food, with UN workers demanding sex from locals as young as four
-In Cambodia it's drug dealing
-In Kenya, it's the refugee extortion racket
-In the Balkans, it’s sex slaves

What would you do with the UN?
