Our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush says we must increase our forces to fight the World War against Terrorism. Time is not on our side, we need these troops now!
A draft will be the most efficient. I support a draft with deferrments for college and purchased deferrments. The draft should conscript the uneducated and unemployed first. I think most of America will support such a draft. What do you think?

I disagree. Should people completely lose their mind an allow the reinstatement of the draft then it should be, if your number comes up, then off you go. Today's military is a high tech military machine, so why would you think that uneducated people would be of any help? I say we should start with you.
The biggest issue I see with the draft is finding enough young people who meet the weight standards of the military.

There you go, the "uneducated & unemployed". Why not the criminals & mentally unstable as well? That's why the military is in such a mess, because of people that think like you. Yes draft, but no defferments....everyone should go, starting with the politician's children, the rich & the educated. Maybe then they'll figure out another way to solve political "problems".

so are you saying that a jobless mans life should go, before some pimply faced college kid ? if the draft comes in effect ALL who are able to go should GO hopefully we can bring our boys home sooner MY husband is one of the MEN who voulnterred to reenlist in the army to fight for his country he is now in afganistan missing his wife and daughter on x mas eve .I hope you are in the military or have been to fathom what i am saying here i do not support the president i do however support our troops Beacus of this war thousands of women will wake up tommorrow on christmas and hope and pray their husbands are alive and hope that the lines for the phone arent that long and hope next christmas will be better and then after we are all done with christmas and the house is clean and kids are in bed then we will cry and go to sleep ALONE again. so yes i support the draft if it means this will be over fast OR should the military lower so of the recruiting guidelines so more who want to join can ABSOULTELY i would join but i dont fit the criteria but all i can say is good question sorry i rambled a bit today is a lil hard for me

ALSO if a man is jobless it doesnot mean he is worthless companies are downsizing to technology ppl who once had jobs just got replaced by robots operators have been pink sliped due to the machine you are reading on now the military will do its job to ensure that the ppl they enlist are ok upstairsand they DO background checks to ensure that there are no criminals ,preverts ect who join our ranks criminals and psychotic ppl are not permitted in the military

Absolutely not.

No deferrments other than real medical ones (not like Cheney or Limbaugh.). A straight lottery like I was in during Vietnam.

If a President wants to take us to war he will have to cause as much disruption, as much fear, and as much pain as possible.
Maybe the leader will think about it for more than 2 seconds.

When you get drafted will you put in 110% of your duty?
because you seem to be at the top of your induction order.
I think we have decided the volunteer servicemen are more dedicated because they want there.
