I wonder because whenever I need to contact someone for a product or service it seems that they must be in India! I get some language barriers and it drives me crazy and I have trouble understanding some of the people who are taking my calls! (No offense to people in India, it's an outsourcing problem our nation has developed...)

Lets assume that’s someone invents some kind of ship that look and work like a land floating over the sea, and it is possible to build buildings, factories and grow plants-etc

Would the UN or the rest of the world consider such entity as a country if it has people, currency, trade, and army – etc?

What would be required for such entity to be recognized as country specially that they have no real land except floating artificial land?

I received and inheritance from a relative who was living overseas, I've done the legal paperwork required and then the attorney assigned to the case just informed me the United Nations won't allow this funds to be transferred because we have to pay taxes on these funds. Is this correct legally? What the United Nations has to do with my inheritane? This is really puzzling me and my relatives abroad. I thank you for your legal and honest answer, because the Bank is retaining the funds due to the United Nations requirements. Do I have to get my attorney from the Us to take care of this situation or leave it up to the Attorney there overseas. Thanks. Marina.
