I have heard a number of stories, including that she was a judge during the State of Cambodia and, alternatively, that she was a refugee who fled the Thai border camps for France before returning. Can someone please clarify or give me a reference to check?

According to International Maritime Law, States that have a maritime coastline each have a buffer zone around their respective countries which allows them to claim any island (inhabited or uninhabited) and any thing else which lies in that buffer. For example, if the buffer zone was let's say 50 miles, this means that any island that is within 50 miles of the Brazilian coastline is the property of the Brazilian government. What I want to know is what exactly is the buffer zones of states according to international law.

Does anybody know what is the exact number of miles or kilometres that make up maritime buffer zones according to international law?

It all makes sense to me now. Why UN "peacekeepers" were to sit idly by while tens of thousands of Serbs were murdered and/or evicted from their homes under KFOR's "watchful eyes." Why nothing was done to stop the looting and destruction of countless churches and monasteries, almost all of which were hundreds of years old. Why a decision for independence was so quickly made...

Ahtisaari was bought off by the KLA:

* "Whereas, on The Finnish News Agency, STT, published on June 26 and June 27, 2007, two articles stating that the UN Special Envoy for Kosovo was "bought" by the Albanian mafia in order to support independence for Kosovo."
* "The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was informed that Albanian separatists in Kosovo had paid for Ahtisaari's plan which proposed ultimate independence for the Serbian province."
* "Brig. Neiman had recordings of discussions between Ahtisaari and Albanians; how they transferred money; the banks accounts plus codes in Switzerland and Cyprus."

I try to know why you dislike EU and I've never been able to find someone giving me a reasonable reason why.
And don't say immigration as it has nothing to do with EU. As well you like to emigrate to the weet France where property are better built and cheaper.

After all you begged to be in, since you are in you are nothing but troublemaker. De Gaulle should have vetoed you once more.
- Allied and loya to the USA instead of EU,
- You don't want euro,
- You still drive on the left.

Why don't you quit EU? I mean it seriously. Air will be fresher when European countries will be themselves.

I understand that unlike the U.S. (to its peril), a number of countries explicitly excluded gambling from their GATS Schedule of Commitments. Did any of the following WTO Members now claiming compensation from the U.S. in the cross-border Internet gambling dispute with Antigua do so: Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, India, Macao, Japan and the European Communities (EC)? What about China and New Zealand?

Please, no links to complex WTO schedules or docs. Just quick a quick yes or no for each country.

Hello,
I am looking for information on how to practice Mexican Law in the United States. It would seem to me that there would be a need for this in the Untied states either with US firms doing business in Mexico, or Mexican firms doing business in the US- maybe the justice department? Any info or direction would be appreciated.

That is quite a thing to say. Is it the UN mission and manifest to stand by as passive observer of and sing "oh thats terrible, oh thats terrible" Ethos or get its *** in gear and put in a host of political pressures (e.g.Enomic Sanctions) against countries that persist in Child Trafficking (e.g. Turkey, UAE) I love seeing the people hold hands and sing Kumbaya - ohh - kymbayaaa - we shall - overcome, but that isnt exactly the UN manifest destiny and purpose, is it? No. Of course not. If the UN was interested in stopping child abuses (some of its own members throughout its history have been accused of this) it would get off its hands and start putting in some pressures. It really is quite gung-ho about economic sanctions here and there when it wants to be, but it is so LetsSingKumbayaHowUnfortunateAndContinueSitOnOurHands.
The likes of Angelina Jolie have it way 2 wrong. UNICEF. Why is it not doing more than sitting on its hands and whinning? So poetic and so useless.

"This isn't the 15th century. You can't go around the world and just plant flags and say 'We're claiming this territory'," said Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay.

"There is no threat to Canadian sovereignty in the Arctic ... we're not at all concerned about this mission -- basically it's just a show by Russia."
