We fear use of nuclear weapons (i.e. wipe Israel off the map, striking the Great Satan, etc...) and nuclear extortion (used as a bargaining chip); but what is the long term outcome if Iran were to acquire nuclear weaponry? Would the world be BETTER OFF or WORSE OFF?

We are the consumer we have a voice the oil companies are raping us in the price of fuel world wide [if we do not buy they do not profit] .I say we do not buy from say any MOBIL or EXXON affiliated stations for the next 6 months world wide.then move on to the next smaller company ,and the next and so on . I think it is the only way to send a message to these corporations we wont take this laying down anymore !!!!!!!!
There is strength in numbers but it has to happen word wide not just in one place but everywhere .They are billion dollar companies and for them to listen we have to hit their profit margin . If they lose money on a grand scale fuel costs will fall over time (not overnight) they profit from us,we got them to where they are we buy their products they survive because of us as a whole. What say you for the benefit of all and not just the one .We the people can stand and be a reconning force.

I understand there are only 7 or so NGOs with official status to the United Nations from India for example, and a limited number from each country.

How prestigious is an NGO in actuality? Is it hard to become one, is the process detailed?

is it generally considered a great mark for an institution?

Does it mean they were doing pretty good?

I feel as though the US has lost steam in keeping ahead, when it used to be the EU took on step the US took two, and China took half. But now it seems that the US didnt make any steps forward in the last few years and that the EU is almost on par with the US...and China is still a distant third. Is this the era where the US loses its dominance over the world and sinks into a kind of UK role of being powerful but not the most powerful?
Just seems like everyone is telling the US to blow off and US has little leverage any more.

I am personally excited to hear that the U.S and China are finding ways to benefit each other. But I want to know how others feel about this. Some are saying in my town that this is just an attempt by the Chinese to take over the U.S.
