This question is for Amnesty Sucks...

Tell me, how does a big money boom with thousand of donations from thousands of people tell you ges not going to win? By the way, just to give you perspective, the amazing thing is that teach person donated from about $25-$200... and STILL made that much money. Why woud you pick a candidate who will supposedly "win" over someone with a better policy?

Our country is in a crisis. From what I can tell there is not the first person running to date I would vote for. However, I seen one person step up to the plate and speak out for our best interest.
Would you vote for Lou Dobbs of CNN?

This is my second posting of this question, so please forgive me for double posting (current events), but I want to get a wider range of answers.

I just saw on the news that Wesley Clark has endorsed Hillary Clinton. General Clark was my Commanding General at Ft. Irwin, California. Since that time, I have had such a great admiration and respect for him, but hearing this, I feel a bit deflated and let down.

Just curious as to your thoughts....

I can already hear the groans from Ron Paul haters and the wallets of new Ron Paul support opening up.

Because somebody told me last night at like 1 AM on the radio that Bush was giving a speech and farted a few times, then some people in the crowd, thought there was a jackass prankster afoot in the room he was giving the speech in.

What's the reason people don't vote for a minor party? It was better with the Democrats having the Senate balance of power...now the Greens seem to be the biggest minor party, yet still under 10% of the vote.

Is it simply just a case of people beileiving their vote is wasted on a minor party? All this "2 party preferred" crap in the media seems to lead voters into voting Labor or Liberal. I've voted Labor in the past few Elections but will probably choose the best Minor/Independant in my Electorate that addresses my issues.
A 'wasted' vote maybe, but a vote for what I want done in my electorate/country.
(To keep this a "questions" post...What's the reason people don't vote for a minor party?)

Utah's election day was today. One big issue being voted on was the School Vouchers, or Referendum 1. Did you vote for Referendum 1, or against it? Why did you vote that way? Even if you're not in Utah, do some research (if you want) and tell me whether you would vote for Referendum 1 or not. I voted against it :)

77% of New Yorkers said NO!

Yet the NY Governor is dead set to give illegals a drivers license. And Hillary is all for it.

Getting a NY license allows illegals to go back to their state and trade it in for that states license, no questions asked. It is a legal ID.

This ID can then be used to register to vote. There is not much else needed to qualify.

Are Democrats really this unscrupulous? Willing to give away our nation for a few million more votes.

And what about the influence Mexico, the home nation to most illegals, will have over our politicians and courts?

I wonder who now can keep on saying that they and can keep on saying that they can keep interest rate low now.

John Howard cannot even do that, so he has lied to keep interest rates at record lows, but now it has been 6 rises since 2004, how many more are there on the way up from now on. its the 10th rise since 2002 and has not gone down but up.

Holy crap more than twice as many votes as the second leading candidate. Notice the two with the most votes didn't vote for the Iraq war but Obama said he would bomb Iran.

I know that there is a minimum distance you must be from the voting location to hand out flyers (I thought it was 200 feet or something )and would like to know in order to hand out political flyers for the local presidential primaries.

Please, forgive me for I am not militant in any of the political parties, since unfortunately I don't vote yet. But I believe all true Democrats could feel as much wrath over Kerry's ineptitute and unwillingness to really defend himself back then, as they all did in the 2000 elections' 'irregularities"!!!

Isn't this salt poured over injury? Even if he were the only Democratic candidate capable of winning the Whitehouse, I believe he does not deserve it. He let so many people down back then. I couldn't believe his posture whenever those boat guys came up with their stories, and this man would not move heaven and earth to try proving them wrong?!!!

I'm seriously considering voting for a third party next year. I'm not voting republican, and probally not voting for a democrat depending on who gets the nomination. I also don't think its throwing my vote away, but rather voting to show both parties they don't represent me.

So anyone else feel the same? What third party are you thinking about voting for?

I believe that it should be, there should be specific debates, and a certain amount of ad time given to each candidate. They should not be allowed to buy more time, or be given more time on television. If they want to run around the country stumping they should still be allowed to do that. Also, the news should not be allowed to talk about on candidate more than another, if one is talked about for 5 minutes, they all need to be discussed for an equal amount of time.
