A quick poll....

Hillary's campaign is convinced the at least 30 per cent of Republican women will vote for her if she is nominated for the simple reason that she is a woman.

So how about it, republican women, will you vote for Hillary simply because she is a woman?

I asked my wife, a very conservative Republican and she is still laughing.....

It didn't work for Geraldine Ferraro.

It would seem to be the prudent thing to do.

I just do not trust her....her husband or their massive ambitions and egos.

I find myself wanting a combative federal government that bickers over every bill. Hopefully, that way only good ones, which can get a majority among the different political philosophies, will be passed. Is my strategy sound, or do I have a screw loose?

I would consider a Republican President with Democrats keeping control in '08, but recent history says that doesn't work so good. At least in the late '90's, Clinton and a Republican Congress balanced the budget. So maybe there's hope.

For a change look at it from business owners point of view. The unions and the labor party were sending many business owners to the wall. I am a business owner and for the life of me I can't see why I should have to pay you for being sick, for choosing to have a baby, for your husband to stay home to be with you after you've had a baby or pay you extra money just to go on holidays. I have no problem in paying overtime and paying a bit extra for it. Thats my choice if i ask you to work back then yes I should pay for it. The same for weekend and night work, I will happily pay for that also. Under the new workplace reforms business will prosper and when business prospers more people are employed, more people spend money and the whole economy benefits. Answer by surf3Ri *Second part of answer deleted as it doesn't relate to workchoices*

All workers should be very concerned. This is what you will be against. Just don't get sick, have a baby, by a home, ask for pay rise. God Help us all!!

All I ever hear from Liberals is interest rates this and interest rates that, remember back in the 80's and 90's and all the other negative rubbish about unions and Labor. Yeah we were there and went through the same hardships and I also vote Liberal at the time because it was painful but its in the past nearly 2 decades ago and its time to let go.

But in 11 long years what else has he achieved. Me and a couple a guys were having a talk out in the surf. 1 was a Liberal voter (obviously a surfer with no environmental concience) and he could not name another successful achievement.

And in 11 years you would hope this list would be long. Buts one of the shortest list ever.

This country is at an all-time low socially. We have lost that care for each other, and have taken up the 'I'm good, so the rest of you can go to hell'. Howard has ripped the guts out of social services, the states haven't helped but most of their services are joint funded by the Federal Government.

How can you possibly justify voting for a candidate that, without a doubt, will reduce your take home wages by 10% within the first year? With the current budget proposal it would be slightly more than that. I can understand hating Bush, he does not present himself or his values well. But I cannot understand why anyone in my age group would even consider going back to the aggressive taxation of the Clinton and Carter administrations. I would like to find out a reasonable explanation for why the majority of the breadwinners (our group) should bear the brunt of taxation. The Democrats want to repeal the Capital Gains tax and make it ordinary income tax. Do you not have a 401k? The Dems are going after the "trying to get wealthy" not the poor or the wealthy. I just don't understand what ya'll are seeing.

Hillary will lose/win [according to all pollsters whose phony dreams are meaningless] since in reality as Republicans are seasoned administrators. Pollsters are a pipe dream and in real elections Hillary would be routed for all times to come. Is it not correct? On the net folks say something but in real Voting men even if evil win. Women won't for Hillary because of jealousy. Moreover people prefer liars ,cheats and phonies, especially women. So Hillary has no chance that she'll win. Correct? Will you vote in reality? You don't know since you'll change your mind in real voting.Correct?

Knowing that Mr. Dobbs is an Independent and he promotes that, I was wondering what you think of him? He is the managing editor of CNN and is very informed. He is careful in what he says and is not a Democrat or Republican. My only issue with registering as an Independent is that I would not be able to vote in the primaries. Aside from that, it appears that 43% of voters have registered as Independents. Mr. Dobbs has an expansive career, drives three hours each way from New Jersey to work in New York each day and is very well spoken. Does anything he says register with you, or do you disagree with his style of presenting the news?

I still think they should let her come over and jump start her career. There is a Arab person that asked a questin and I asked him, so I will get back and let you know what he thinks about it. If she dones get to go won't they have to let Little Pimp go or be branded as racist? Could you see those preachers over there watching Mick and the Stones jumping around? Sean Penn could MC. Rosie could warm the crowd up with Bush jokes. jTake care.

The Polls suggest she is extremely popular with a lot of Americans:
http://www.presidentelectionpolls.com/

This suggests this site is not representative of US attitudes generally.

The violence of the language used by Hillary-haters surprises me.

(I'm an Australian and not directly involved, fortunately! ~ Although anything America does affects other countries, including mine.)

Just quitely have a look at this during the Liberal years since federation, the Australian Liberal Party have been in the most in Govenment which I won't denie that, but look at what they left for the Labour Party when they got into Office, Menzies era what did he leave for next party to inherit, another big misakes to fill, Holt's era, what did he leave ? big question on his sudden leaving still have't serviced as yet, McMahon, what did he leave for Australians, More bills and When The Labour Party won the Election in 1972 under Gough Whitlam, who had control of the Senate , The Liberals did, they blocked the supply of money, and when Malcom Fraser getting in Govenment via the back door approach,it was John Howard who was the treasurer and even then Intrest rate were rising then because the Senate had blocked the supply of money to the Labour Party , now it was John Howards turn to spend and he did, so much that rates Sharply to 22% ,look at what the Labour Party has to deal with

I am curious if any lawyers or politicians know the specifics of what the Voting and Election laws are in place to elect a President in the United States of America when we are in a state of Martial Law, which is the temporary suspension of our normal system of government that is suppose to be used ONLY in times of dire emergencies. If the President declares Martial Law come Nov. 4, 2008, will there be elections? As I understand it, there are no limits to how long we can be in a state of Martial Law. What if an extreme situation arose, either manufactured or natural, occurs prior to the election in which President Bush is able to stay President longer than Constitutionally allowed? I have search everywhere for this answer and have not found a single iota of contemplation into this issue which deeply troubles me considering the track record of the Administration. Someone with professional understanding of government, political science, or the Constitution help me PLEASE!

Well, considering how dumb the supporters of the Awful 7 (Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, McCain) are, that's a pretty amazing feat. I'd probably go with the Romney supporters because it is plain obvious that he has flip-flopped on nearly every issue and nobody knows what he actually believes. However, I'm not taking anything away from the rest of the Awful 7's supporters. As a group, the supporters of these candidates are taking ignorance and stupidity to a whole new level.

I keep reading articles on how she is abusive to animals("Socks" the White House cat). And how she assualted her husband. She speaks against domestic abuse YET she does it! Here is ONE of the links that talks about her abuse of Bill BEFORE he cheated!!!!
http://nzmera.orcon.net.nz/hillaryc.html

Is she abusive or not? The evidence suggests she is! However what do you think? Try to have substance in your response! NO need to call me names like a immature brat if you don't like my question!

Are Liberal people that blind that they forget that under John Howard interest rates were above 22% in the early 80's. An Australian record. Yet they keep knocking Hawke/Keating's record when the Liberals is worse!!!

If he has become the good economical manager that means he has changed, then why can't Labor change? Most of Howards good (questionable) record is due to changes that Labor made under Keating. Even Howard said that in the Debate the other night.

So before you make stupid (couldn't find a more appropriate word) claims and continue to raise the past. Look at the Liberals past. It's worse.
